DEFENDER ON LOAN
(Friday 28th February 2014)
Gareth Ainsworth has moved to bring former Fulham youngster Aaron Pierre on an initial one-month loan from Brentford. The now 21 year old, who plays in central defence or a right-back, joined the Bees Development Squad for the start of the 2011/12 season following an earlier trial after his release from Fulham in April 2011. He made his First Team debut for Brentford when coming on as substitute in a Football League Trophy 2-1 defeat to Southend United in December 2012. The Southall born player had to wait until August 2013 for his next appearance, coming on as substitute again, this time in a 5-0 League Cup reverse at Derby County. He then made another Football League Trophy substitute appearance (in the 5-3 victory over Wimbledon in September 2013) before a brief loan spell at Conference promotion chasers Cambridge United, where his only appearance was again from the bench, but this time scoring the winner in a FA Trophy tie with St Albans City in December 2013. He has been allocated the No.19 in the squad at Wycombe and looks like he will provide extra cover for the injured Gary Doherty. |
