SANDELL IN FROM SHOTS

Gary Waddock has moved swiftly to replace the departed Craig Woodman with the signing of Aldershot Town left sided defender Andy Sandell on a two year deal. Waddock signed Sendell from Salisbury when he was at Aldershot on an initial loan deal before the move was made permanent in January 2009. He scored 6 goals in 52 League apperances while with The Shots. |

MURTAGH JOINS FROM YEOVIL

21 year old midfielder Kieran Murtagh has joined Wanderers on an one year deal after turning down a new contract offer with Yeovil Town. Murtagh, who scored in Yeovil's 4-0 victory over Wanderers on Boxing Day 2009, is a former Youth Team player with Charlton Athletic but made his way into League football after a spell in the Conference South with Fisher Athletic. He joined Yeovil on a two year contract in the summer of 2008 and made 53 Football League appearances, scoring 3 times, before deciding to take his chance with Wycombe. |

WOODMAN OPTS FOR BEES

Defender Craig Woodman has turned his back on Wycombe in favour of a three year deal with Brentford. The 27 year old, who joined Wanderers on a free from Bristol City in July 2007, still had a year of his contract to run at Adams Park and moves to Griffin Park for an 'undisclosed fee'. Woodman made
131 First Team appearances for Wanderers - scoring twice. Press reports suggest that the delay in Ben Strevens' move to Wycombe was because Brentford wanted Woodman in return. |

TWO MORE SIGN

Gary Waddock has added two more players to his squad with the signing of Brentford duo
Danny Foster and Ben Strevens. 25 year old Foster specialises in the right back position and joins on a one year deal following a season at Griffin Park. Meanwhile, 30 year old striker Strevens should be familiar to Wanderers followers having also played against Wycombe for Barnet and Dagenham & Redbridge during a successful football career towards the lower end of the Football League. He joined Brentford at the end of the 2008/2009 season from Dagehnham along with team-mate Danny Foster. Strevens joins on a two year deal. |

DEFENDER SIGNS FROM SHOTS

Gary Waddock has returned to his former club Aldershot Town to sign central defender
Dave Winfield. The 22 year old is due to sign a two year deal with Wycombe when his contract with The Shots expires on 1st July. Winfield has come through the Youth system at Aldershot, playing on loan at Chertsey Town, Staines Town and Salisbury City before making his Football League debut in February 2009 under Waddock. Wanderers will have to pay a compensation fee for his services because he is under 24. |

DONNELLY OFF TO WALES

Wanderers transfer target Scott Donnelly has opted to join 'Championship' side Swansea City after the Welsh side made a late bid for the Aldershot midfielder. Earlier in the month the 22 year old said he had favoured a move to Wycombe and was hoping a deal would be done within a week. Meanwhile, Gary Waddock has confirmed that midfielder John Mousinho has rejected his contract offer from Wycombe. The Wycombe boss told the Bucks Free Press, "He won’t be reporting back here for pre-season training on Tuesday. He hasn’t accepted our offer so he’ll move on elsewhere. I liked him as a player. We made him two offers and he rejected them. He made the decision. I wanted to keep him." |

FIXTURES OUT
(Thursday 17th June 2010)
Wanderers will begin the 2010/2011 campaign with a home meeting with Morecambe on Saturday 7th August 2010, following the release of the fixture list at 10am on Thursday. The first away game takes place the following Saturday when Gary Waddock's side travel to Stockport County. Wycombe renew rivalry with Oxford United at Adams Park on Saturday 21st August. During the Christmas holiday programme, Wanderers will host Hereford United on Sunday 26th December, followed two days later by the trip to Chesterfield's new ground. New Years Day is away to Cheltenham Town, while on holiday Monday 3rd January, Gillingham visit Adams Park. LEAGUE CUP DRAW

Wanderers have been drawn at home to Millwall in the 1st Round of the Football League Cup - the tie will take place at Adams Park on Tuesday 10th August (KO 7.45pm). Wanderers were one of twenty unseeded clubs in the southern half of the draw. Last season Wanderers crashed out 4-0 at home to Peterborough United. SEASON TICKET SALES

Wanderers' Season Tickets sold to date for the 2010/11 season are up compared to the same time last year but still around 500 short of the final total following promotion to 'League One' for the 2009/10 campaign. The Club reported sales of 2,200 as of the first week of June compared to a final total last season of around 2,700. This compared to around 2,350 for the 2008/9 season in 'League Two'. Wanderers' record Season Ticket sales remain the 2001/2 season when close to 3,600 were shifted following the memorable run to the FA Cup Semi-Final. Manager Gary Waddock says he's been impressed with the support at Adams Park and concluded in the Club's season ticket brochure, "This is a great club that’s going places. NIKKI BULL SIGNS

Wanderers have confirmed the signing of released Brentford goalkeeper Nikki Bull on a one year deal. The 28 year old has played under Gary Waddock for QPR's youth team and then at Aldershot Town where he made more than 300 appearances during a seven year spell before switching the Brentford in August 2009, having initially opted to pursue a career outside of football. |

LEAGUE CUP DRAW

The draw for the 1st Round of the Football League Cup will take place at Wednesday 16th June at around 9.30am with Wanderers one of twenty unseeded clubs in the southern half of the draw. The full 1st round consists of 70 of the 72 Football League clubs, with Burnley and Hull City, the two highest placed relegated clubs from the Premier League, receiving a bye into the 2nd round. The one legged 1st Round ties will take place the week commencing 9th August 2010. Last season Wanderers crashed out 4-0 at home to Peterborough United. |

TRANSFER GOSSIP

Aldershot midfielder Scott Donnelly has set his sights on a second attempt at joining Wycombe after a new bid was tabled by Gary Waddock. The 22 year old confirmed the offer to the Bucks Free Press, saying, "Wycombe is my favoured one. Hopefully it will not take too long and hopefully by the end of the week we might have sealed the deal. Aldershot know the situation and I’ve told them that I am waiting to see what other things happen. There’s a few other things going on but nothing as attractive as Wycombe." Waddock failed to sign the player along with team mate Marvin Morgan in the January transfer window. |

NEWS ROUND UP

The Club have said they have 'finalised' their pre-season plans with the addition of one further friendly - away to Brentford on Tuesday 20th July (kick-off 8pm). Meanwhile, Matt Phillips made his full England U19 debut when he played and scored in the 4-0 Euro qualifier victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday afternoon. Phillips, who had made his debut as substitute in the 1-0 victory over Ireland two days previous, will now hope to be included in the squad for the Finals in France in the summer after England qualified following Monday's 1-1 draw with Ukraine where the Wycombe youngster was an unused substitute. |
