Wanderers went down to the second successive 3-0 pre-season defeat after Tuesday's meeting with Premiership Queens Park Rangers at Adams Park. Lee Angol came close to equalising for Wycombe three minutes before the break with a low shot but Rob Green blocked in the R's goal. With the West Londoners always looking likely to extend their lead, former Ranger Gareth Ainsworth was introduced to a hero's reception on 64 minutes but it was Shaun Wright-Phillips who sealed the victory for the visitors on 70 minutes when he beat Charles Dunne on the right of the box before rounding Bull and tucking the ball into the Valley End net. Bull then kept out efforts from Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora before making way for Matt Ingram.
