The Club announced on 15th November 2023 the signing of 33-year-old forward Lyle Taylor on a 'short-term deal'. Lyle was a free-agent having been released by Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2022/23 season. His career prior to arriving at Wycombe had spanned 16 years, with more than 500 senior appearances to his name and close to 200 goals. His most successful spells came in three seasons with Wimbledon (55 goals in 150 apps) and Charlton Athletic (36 goals in 67 apps). However, following his move to then 2nd tier Forest in August 2020 he netted just 8 goals in 61 apps and after Forest's rise to the Premier League in May 2022, he failed to make a First Team appearance in 2022/23. He was allocated No.30 in the Wycombe squad for the 2023/24 campaign. | ||||

Max CAVANA | Defender/Midfield | Loan to Aylesbury United | |
Aylesbury United revealed on Monday 25th September 2023 that Wanderers recently signed US defender/midfielder Max Cavana had signed on loan. The teenager netted twice for The Ducks in a friendly versus Uxbridge on Saturday 23rd September 2023. No further details of the loan were disclosed at the time by the Southern League Division One Central side. Wycombe Wanderers signed Cavana from US soccer on a 'short term' deal on Tuesday 5th September 2023 but didn't report the loan move to Aylesbury United. | ||||

Franco RAVIZZOLI | Goalkeeper | Free agent | |
The Club announced on Thursday 14th September 2023 the signing of 26-year-old goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli. The Argentine born player had spent the two previous seasons with Milton Keynes in League One - making nine First Team appearances. He originally played for Independiente and Quilmes youth teams in Argentina before joining the academy of River Plate towards the end of 2012 at the age of 15. He progressed to reserve team football with River Plate before leaving in mid-2018 to spend time with Merlo and Morón, both in the second-tier of Argentina football. In January 2020 he signed for Eastbourne Borough in the National League South after being brought over by Borough's player-assistant manager Sergio Torres (a former player with Wycombe Wanderers). He played 33 times for Eastbourne across two Covid-19 affected seasons, before signing for Milton Keynes in June 2021. He was allocated No.25 in the Wycombe squad for the 2023/24 campaign. | ||||

Max CAVANA | Defender/Midfield | Short term deal from Baton Rouge (USA) | |
The Club announced on Tuesday 5th September 2023 the signing of 6'1" defender/midfielder Max Cavana from US 'Boys Soccer' side Catholic High of Baton Rouge. The teenager was reported to have signed a 'short-term' deal with the Wycombe Wanderers Development Squad after spending the summer training with the Club - including playing as an unnamed trialist in pre-season friendlies. He also played as a trialist for Thame United during the close season before his move was confirmed to team up with Wanderers. The youngster won the 2022-23 Gatorade Louisiana Boys Soccer Player of the Year for the 2022/23 season, having netted 14 goals for Baton Rouge. He was allocated No.40 in the Wycombe squad but is expected to return to the USA part way through the 2023/24 campaign to continue his studies at Louisiana State University. | ||||

Kieran SADLIER | Midfield/Forward | Free from Bolton Wanderers | |
The Club announced at 7.40pm on Monday 4th September 2023, the signing of 28-year-old Kieran Sadlier on a free transfer following his release from Bolton Wanderers. His playing position is described as ranging between wing-back, midfield and striker. Originally a youth player at Cambridge United and then West Ham United, he made his senior debut after signing for St. Mirren in the Scottish League. After six months north of the border, he returned to England to spend time with Peterborough United and Halifax Town. However, his senior breakthrough came during spells with Sligo Rovers and Cork City in the League of Ireland. With 50 goals to his name over three seasons in LOI, he returned again to England to enjoy two year stays at both Doncaster Rovers and then Rotherham United. His move to Bolton came in the January 2022 - signing for an undisclosed fee with a two-and-a-half year deal. Despite being a regular in the Bolton side, he spent the second-half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Leyton Orient but still received a Football League Trophy winners medal as a Bolton player because he had played in earlier rounds. Born in England, he represented the Republic of Ireland at U17, U18 and U21 level. He was allocated No.23 in the Wycombe Wanderers squad for the 2023/24 campaign. | ||||

Worthing were the first to confirm on 2nd September 2023 that 19-year-old left sided defender Luca Woodhouse had joined the National League South side for an unspecified loan period. The former Tonbridge Angels player joined Wanderers in August 2022. He subsequently spent two loan spells at Slough Town during the 2022/23 season - making 13 appearance for The Rebels. At the time of his loan move to Worthing he had yet to make a competitive appearance for Wanderers. | ||||

Jack YOUNG | Midfield | Loan to Ayr United | |
The Club confirmed on Saturday 26th August 2023 that 22-year-old Jack Young had been loaned to Scottish Championship side Ayr United for an initial period running until January 2024. The midfielder had originally joined Wanderers on loan from Newcastle United in January 2022, then having made two League One substitute appearances, the loan was converted to a permanent three-year deal in April 2022. He made six further appearances for Wycombe the following season, including two starts in the Football League Cup and three starts in the Football League Trophy. At the time of his move to Ayr United his most recent competitive appearance for Wanderers was a Football League Trophy tie versus Peterborough United in October 2022. | ||||

The Club announced on Friday 25th August 2023 the signing of 18-year-old Taylor Clark from Needham Market. The news came after the defender / midfielder had been on trial with Wanderers during pre-season, including making appearances in pre-season friendlies. His early football career had seen him spend time in the youth systems at both West Ham United and Ipswich Town. He was allocated the No.32 in the Wycombe squad for the 2023/24 campaign. | ||||

The Club revealed on Sunday 13th August 2023 that 19-year-old defender Antoine Makoli had left Wycombe Wanderers by mutual consent and joined Hyde United. The youngster had joined Wanderers 12 months previous having impressed the Development Squad coaching staff during a Pro Direct Academy showcase match before the start of the 2022/23 season. He subsequently spent time on loan at Chesham United and Beaconsfield Town but did not make any competitive First Team appearances for Wanderers prior to his move to Hyde United. He debuted for Hyde in their Northern Premier League game with Guiseley on Saturday 12th August 2023 - earning the Man of the Match awared in the 1-1 draw. | ||||

Shortly after the arrival of Killian Phillips on loan on Friday 11th August 2023, the Club announced that 22-year-old striker D'Mani Mellor had agreed a loan deal with League Two Sutton United for an initial period ending in January 2024. The youngster had joined Wanderers on a free from Manchester United in the summer of 2022 and went to make 12 First Team appearances (including 3 starts, scoring once in Football League Cup tie at Northampton in August 2022) was not involved in First Team action since November 2022 and subsequently spent the second-half of the 2022/23 season on loan at basement side Rochdale. He returned to Wanderers to be involved in close season games and also as a substitute in the Football League victory at Milton Keynes on 8th August 2023 but will see his move to Sutton as a chance to earn more senior appearances. | ||||

Killian PHILLIPS (loan in) | Midfield | Loan from Crystal Palace | |
After a two days of press speculation, the Club confirmed on the morning of Friday 11th August 2023, the signing of 21-year-old Killian Phillips on a season long-loan deal from Crystal Palace. The attacking midfielder became the tenth signing of the close season for Wycombe Wanderers. The American player is an Ireland U21 international (debuting in March 2022) who started his football career with Drodheda United in the League of Ireland. He signed for Premier League Crystal Palace in January 2022 following a successful trial at Selhurst Park. Having made his senior debut in a Football League Cup tie during the 2022/23 campaign, he spent the second-half of the season on loan at League One Shrewsbury Town where he won The Shrews Young Player of the Season award. It appears that Wycombe beat several other clubs to agreeing a loan move, including Scottish side Aberdeen. His move to Wycombe coincided with signing a new contract with The Eagles. He was allocated No.22 in the Wycombe squad for the 2023/24 season. | ||||

The Club announced the ninth signing of the close season on Friday 28th July 2023 with the arrival of 19-year-old West Ham United midfielder Freddie Potts on a season-long loan from the Premier League side. The youngster, son of former West Ham player and current coach, Steve Potts, signed for The Hammers at the age of six - signing his first pro contract in June 2021 and making his senior debut in a Europa League tie in December 2021. He made two more appearances the following season in the Europa Conference League and was part of the Hammers squad for the 2023 final against Fiorentina in Prague. He was allocated No.19 in the Wycombe squad for the 2023/24 season. | ||||

The Club announced on Sunday 23rd July 2023 the signing of 20-year-old Dale Taylor on a season long loan deal from Nottingham Forest. The Northern Ireland born and capped youngster is a former youth team player of Linfield who initially signed for Forest in July 2020, before extending this to a three-year deal in July 2022 having been a member of the Forest side that were runners up in the 2022/23 FA Youth Cup. He made his senior debut in England with a Football League Cup appearance v Grimsby Town in August 2022. Then in January 2023, signed a loan deal with League One Burton Albion for the remainder of the season - going to make 20 appearances and scoring 5 times, including a goal against Wycombe in Burton's 2-1 victory over Wanderers in March 2023. His career before he arrived at Wycombe has also incuded caps for the Northern Ireland national side at U16, though the U21 level, while in November 2021, still aged 17, he won his first senior cap in a World Cup qualifier tie v Lithuania. He was allocated No.20 in the Wycombe squad for the 2023/24 season. | ||||

The Club announced on Friday 21st July 2023 the signing of 18-year-old goalkeeper Laurie Shala following his release from Crystal Palace. After brief speculation, the Club confirmed on the afternon of 18th July 2023 the signing of Bristol City central defender Joe Low. The 21-year-old had been on trial with Wanderers during pre-season training and had played in a 'behind-closed-doors' friendly with the Arsenal U21 side on Friday 14th July 2023. The 6'5" player had come through the ranks of the Bristol City youth system, spending time on loan at several non-League clubs before making his pro debut as a late substitute in The Robins Championship game versus Middlesbrough in November 2022. Later in the 2022/23 he played 15 times on loan at Walsall in League Two. His move to Wycombe was reported as being for an undiclosed fee and came at the same time as speculation of the departure of Chris Forino to QPR increased. The Cardiff born player has Welsh U17 and U21 caps to his name. He was not allocated a squad number at the time of the move to Adams Park but later allocated No.17. | ||||

The Club announced on the evening of Thursday 13th July 2023, the signing of 27-year-old defender Kane Vincent-Young on a free-transfer following his release from Ipswich Town. The former academy player at Tottenham Hotspur arrived at Adams Park with more than 180 senior apps to his name. Following his release from Spurs, he had a brief spell with Banbury United before a four year stint with Colchester United in League One and League Two. In August 2019 he signed signed for Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee, signing a four-year deal, with the option of an additional year extension. His time at Portman Road was affected by numerous injuries which restricted him to 64 First Team appearances over his four year spell. He was originally allocated No.17 in the Wycombe squad for the 2023/24 season but this was changed to No.44 prior to the start of the season. | ||||

Despite his relatively young age, he arrived at Adams Park with more than 80 senior appearances to his name, including loan spells with Bradford Park Avenue, Solihull Moors, Forest Green Rovers and Lincoln City - the latter two loans during the 2022/23 season included games against Wycombe Wanderers in League One. On the evening of Tuesday 11th July 2023, the Club announced their second signing of the day with the news that defender / midfielder Luke Leahy had joined Wycombe Wanderers on a three-year deal from fellow League One side Shrewsbury Town. The 30-year-old was reported to have turned down an improved offer to stay with The Shrews for the chance to join Wycombe for an undisclosed fee [believed to be in the region of £100,000). He had finished the 2022/23 campaign as top scorer for The Shrews, with 12 goals in all competitions. This followed previous spells at Walsall and Bristol Rovers and prior to that a five year stint with Falkirk in the second-tier of Scottish football. Wycombe boss Matt Bloomfield, commenthing on the deal, said: "He’s got a fantastic left foot, he can play in midfield or anywhere down the left, and he’s got a really impressive goal return over the years." On the morning of Tuesday 11th July 2023, the Club announced the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Kian Breckin on a season long loan deal from Premier League Champions Manchester City. The youngster arrived at Adams Park having joined City aged 11 and progressing through their U18 side and then scoring eight times for the City U21 title-winning side in 2022/23. He also made three appearances for City in the Football League Trophy, with games against Mansfield Town, Derby County and Grimsby Town. Aside from those three ties, his time at Wycombe will be his first foray into senior football. Wycombe Manager, Matt Bloomfield commented: "Kian has been on our radar for a long time and we’re thrilled that we’ve been able to bring him here. Scott Mitchell, our new Head of Recruitment, has done a brilliant job in getting the deal over the line after weeks and weeks of hard work. There were a lot of clubs in for him but we know that the environment we’ve got here - in terms of the way we are going to play and the culture of looking after and developing players on and off the pitch - makes this an attractive place for players to come." He was allocated No.8 in the Wycombe squad for the 2023/24 season. | ||||

Richard KEOGH | Defender | Free from Ipswich Town | |
On 4th July 2023, the Club announced the signing of 36-year-old defender Richard Keogh on a free transfer following his release from promoted Ipswich Town. The move came just short of 18 years since he had a brief loan spell under John Gorman with Wycombe while he as at Bristol City. He would make three appearances for Wanderers before being recalled by City. In the intervening years he went on to total more than 700 professional appearances, including a seven year spell with Derby County in the Championship where he made more than 350 appearances. Keogh spent the 2022/23 season at Ipswich Town, the Club he started his football career at youth level. He would make nine appearances in the season where Town eventually gained promotion back to the Championship. His long career also includes 26 caps for Ireland between 2013 and 2019 - having previously represented his county at U91 and U21 levels. He was allocated No.16 in the Wycombe squad for the 2023/24 season. | ||||

On 10th May 2023, the Club announced that negotiations were taking place to extend the player's contract at Adams Park beyond June 2023. However, on 22nd June 2023, following brief speculation in the Scottish press, it was confirmed that a then 29-year-old Obita had agreed a deal to join Scottish Premier League side, Hibernian, on a two-year deal. Obita had joined Wanderers for an undisclosed fee from Oxford United in January 2021. He left Wycombe having made 95 competitive appearances in a Wanderers shirt and netting on 5 occasions. The Club reported he had been, "offered a new deal by the Blues but has opted to a begin a new adventure north of the border." | ||||

The Club announced on 18th May 2023 that Dominic Gape would be released from Wycombe Wanderers when his contract expired at the end of June 2023. Gape had been with the Wanderers for close to seven years, totally just over 200 appearances. He originally signed on loan from Southampton in August 2016, before the deal was made permanent in the January 2017 transfer window. He became a regular in the Wycombe squad under Gareth Ainsworth and will be fondly remembered for netting the crucial match winning goal at Chestefield in April 2018 that sealed Wanderers' automatic promotion to 'League One'. He was subsequently an important member of the squad that secured promotion to the Championship in July 2020 via a famous play-off victory over Oxford United at Wembley. The following three seasons would see injuries affect his availabilty, leading to the decision by new Wycombe boss Matt Bloomfield to release then then 28-year-old. | ||||

Lewis WING | Midfield | Turned down new deal | |
The Club announced on 10th May 2023 that midfielder Lewis Wing would be 'seeking pastures new' having seemingly turned down the option of a contract extension with Wycombe Wanderers. His 40 yard goal at Portsmouth on the final day of the 2022/23 season, turned out to be his final game too for Wycombe Wanderers. The goal was his 9th of the season, leaving him as joint top scorer of the season for Wanderers - along side Anis Mehmeti (who had departed to Bristol City in the January 2023 transfer window). Wing joined Wycombe on transfer dealine day, January 2022, having been released by Middlesbrough. He quickly impressed in the Wanderers side under Gareth Ainsworth and had totalled 63 appearances and netted 11 goals by the time of his departure in May 2023 - aged 27. | ||||

Nick FREEMAN | Midfield | Turned down new deal | |
The Club announced on 10th May 2023 that along with fellow midfielder Lewis Wing, Nick Freeman would also be 'seeking pastures new' having seemingly turned down the option of a contract extension with Wycombe Wanderers. The news brought to an end a close to seven year spell with Wanderers, having joined the Club under Gareth Ainsworth as an unattached 20-year-old. He was patient with his progress with Wycombe, taking in a loan spell with Wealdstone before featuring in the promotion sides of 2018 and 2020. A further loan spell with Leyton Orient during the 2020/21 campaign, seemed to signal an end to his time with Wycombe but he returned to First Team action at Adams Park, only to suffer a serious leg injury in August 2021 that would side-line the player for more than 12 months. Remarkably, he would make close to 50 First Team appearances for Wanderers in the 2022/23 season but with more than half of those coming from the bench, appeared to have decided to seek better opportunities of First Team starts elsewhere. He finished his time with Wycombe with 178 appearances to his name and 9 goals. | ||||

The Club announced on 10th May 2023 that out of favour striker Daryl Horgan would be released from Wycombe Wanderers when his contract expired at the end of June 2023. Horgan had been one of Wycombe's first signings as a Championship club, signing for an undisclosed fee from Hibernian in September 2020. He would go on to score on his debut - netting in the Football League Cup defeat to Brentford on 6th September 2020 but he would not score again that season as Wanderers were relegated back to League One. Despite caps for Ireland during his time at Adams Park, he could not find his scoring touch, scoring just a single goal from 42 appearances in 2021/22. With a similar story in 2022/23, the then 30-year-old was loaned to League Two Stevenage in Janaury 2023 for the remainder of the campaign, with his final Wycombe appearance behind him. | ||||

The CLub announced on 14th February 2023 that Alfie Mawson had made the decision to retire from playing due to an ongoing knee injury. He had last played in the home victory over Ipswich Town on 17th December 2022. The sad news concluded a professional football career where he had made his Football League debut while on loan to Wanderers from Brentford for the 2014/15 season, to one where he had spent time with Barnslet, Swansea City and Fulham. He had rejoined Wycombe at the start of the 2022/23 campaign, making 21 further senior appearances to take his total with The Chairboys to 71, with 7 goals scored. | ||||

The Club announced at around 1.55pm on Saturday 11th February 2023 the signing of central defender Jordan Willis on a deal until the end of the 2022/23 campaign. The 28-year-old free agent had most recently played for Sunderland but had been released in May 2022 following an injury hit time at The Stadium Light. He had previously spent eight seasons with his home town club, Coventry City - making 208 First Team apps and netting eight goals. He also gained honours for the England U18 and U19 sides during his time with The Sky Blues. He made his Wycombe debut on the same day as signing - coming on as late substitute in the 3-2 home victory over Derby County at Adams Park. He was allocated the No.16 in the Wanderers squad. |

The Club announced on 3rd February 2023 the signing of 20-year-old Declan Skura from Kingstonian. The central defender had previously been part of the youth acadamies at Reading and Chelsea before time with the youth set-up at the Isthmian League Premier Division side. No fee or length of contract was disclosed at the time of the deal but a pre-season friendly with Kingstonian was arranged as part of the transfer agreement and the contract is assumed to run until June 2024 at the earliest. The Club announced on 31st January 2023 that 21-year-old goalkeeper Tyla Dickinson had joined League Two Sutton United on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 season. The youngster had originally joined Wycombe on 4th August 2021 following his release from Queens Park Rangers. He spent part of the 2021/22 season on loan at Hayes & Yeading before making his First Team debut for Wanderers at the start of the 2021/22 campaign when he stood in as first choice 'keeper after attempts to sign Nathan Bishop on loan from Manchester United fell through. He was later loaned to Hungerford Town but was recalled on Saturday 5th November 2022 and was subsequently named as substitute in Wanderers' FA Cup tie with Walsall. His loan move to Sutton came after Wanderers had signed 'keeper Harvey Cartwright on loan from Hull City during the January 2023 transfer window. |

Commenting on the deal, the official Wycombe Wanderers website said, Cartright would: "provide further competition and cover for Max Stryjek." The 20-year-old, who has experience with both the England U19 and U20 teams, had been on loan at League One Peterborough United for the opening half of the 2022/23, having joined Posh on a season long deal. However, that deal was cut short on 16 January 2023 having made just one First Team appearance (a 2-1 Football League Trophy defeat to Stevenage) and only one other inclusion in the First Team matchday squad, during an injury hit spell at the London Road club. Prior to his move to Wycombe, his only First Team outings for Hull City came when he was called on as substitute in the Championship game at QPR on 19 February 2022, followed by a start, three days later, in the 2-0 home defeat to Barnsley. The 26-year-old Polish born player had spent two years with Livingston after signing from Eastleigh. He started his pro career in British football as a 17-year-old with Sunderland, where he gained senior experience on loan at Accrington Stanley and Boston United. He also has Poland U17, 18 and 19 caps to his name. The move to Adams Park came after widely reported efforts by Wanderers to sign Nathan Bishop on loan from Manchester United - those efforts seem to fall flat after the change of First Team Manager at Old Trafford. After speculation throughout the close season, the Club announced on Thursday 11th August 2022 the return of central defender Alfie Mawson on a one-year deal following his release from Fulham at the end of the 2021/22 campaign. 28-years-old at the time of his switch back to Adams Park, Mawson spent the 2014/15 season on loan at Wycombe from Brentford and made 50 appearances, scoring seven times, during a season that would end in a play-off final defeat at Wembley. Although Wanderers made efforts to sign him on a permanent deal, he would eventually join Barnsley in the summer of 2015, spending just over a season with the League One side before a high profile move to then Premier League Swansea City on a four-year deal. At the end of the 2017/18 season, following Swansea's relegation back to the Championship, Mawson signed for newly promoted Premier League side Fulham on a four-year deal, reported to be in the region of £20 million. He suffered an injury hit time at Fulham, being ruled out for the entire 2020/21 season and making just three appearances during the following season before his release. Despite the injury history, the player who swept the board at Wycombe's 2014/15 Player of the Season awards, was welcomed back with open arms by staff and fans alike. He was allocated No.20 in the Wanderers squad for the 2022/23 season. |

The youngster had spent three years with the youth set-up at Sudbury and was thrown into the First Team action in October 2021 when injury to their first choice 'keeper meant he starred in a FA Cup cup that only came to an end during a televised meeting with Colchester United. It's understood the move to Wycombe will see the Isthmian League North side receive a small (compensation) fee for his move to Adams Park, plus the possibility of 'add-on' payments linked to First Team appearances. | ||||

He originally attracted the attention of Wanderers coach Sam Grace while playing for the Pro Direct Academy against a Watford U23 side towards the end of the 2021/22 season and subsequently trialling with Wycombe in April 2022. His stats also include netting 19 times in 50 appearances for Brockenhurst, including goal of the tournament in their FA Vase victory over Brimscombe & Thrupp. He joins Wycombe to be primarly used in the 'Development Squad' set-up. | ||||

The Club announced on Monday 4th July 2022 the signing of 21-year-old former Manchester United youth team striker D'Mani Mellor. The Manchester born player had been on the books at #MUFC since he was 8 – debuting in a 2019 Europa League match (his only senior appearance for United). He missed the entire 2020/21 season due to a serious knee injury but recovered to make an appearance for the United U21 side in the Football League Trophy in August 2021. He subsequently joined Salford City on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season but this proved to be another injury hit spell with appearances limited to three short substitute appearances. He went on to train with Wanderers at the end of the 2021/22 season and will see his move to Adams Park as a chance to kick-start his career. He was allocated No.21 in the Wanderers squad for the 2022/23 season. |
