Jason McCARTHY (loan returned) Defender Loan returned to Millwall
On the 1st June 2020, Wanderers majority owner Rob Couhig revealed that loanee Jason McCarthy would be returning to Millwall due to financial constraints in light of the COVID-19 situation. Couhig said in a statement: "I have also informed our manager that the Club will be without the services of Jason McCarthy. Jason is a wonderful player and a terrific guy. He was on loan to us from Millwall. While they and he were willing to extend the agreement through the remainder of this season, and he would unquestionably be helpful if play resumes in any circumstances, we simply can’t afford him. I am confident that the remainder of the team can achieve success when we are allowed to return."

David STOCKDALE (loan in) Goalkeeper Loan from Birmingham City
The Club confirmed on Friday 24th January 2020 the return of goalkeeper David Stockdale on loan from Championship side Birmingham City until the end of the 2019/20 campaign. Stockdale played two games on 'emergency loan' for Wanderers in November 2018 - ending on the winning side on both occasions. The now 34-year-old comes with significant Football League experience, including time at Fulham and Brighton. He joined City in the summer of 2017 on a three-year deal but appeared to fall out of favour following Gary Monk's appointment as City boss in March 2018. He played three times on loan at Southend United earlier in the 2018/19 campaign. Stockdale's latest move to Adams Park came after first choice Wanderers 'keeper Ryan Allsop shipped 16 goals in 6 games over the Christmas period having previously gone on a record breaking clean sheet spell of more than 10 hours in League football. He was allocated No.31 in the Wycombe squad.

Jason McCARTHY (loan in) Defender Loan from Millwall
After heavy speculation on the morning of Friday 17th January 2020, the Club confirmed later on the same day that former Wanderer's defender Jason McCarthy had re-joined the Club on loan from 'Championship' side Millwall until the end of the 2019/20 season. McCarthy moved to Millwall in July 2019 having made 88 appearances for Wycombe in two spells at Adams Park - the first on loan from Southampton during the 2015/16 season before a permament move from Barnsley in August 2018. He was allocated No.26 in the Wycombe squad.

Rolando AARONS (loan returned) Forward Returned to Newcastle United
The Club confirmed on 12th January 2020 that Newcastle United forward Rolando Aarons had returned to his parent Club following the end of his loan period at Wanderers. The now 24-year-old joined Wycombe on loan on transfer deadline day (Monday 2nd September 2019) and went on to make 13 appearances while at Adams Park - scoring on two occasions. His first goal was the winner against Shrewsbury Town at Adams Park on 2nd November 2019 in League One. His other strike came three days later in the 2-1 home defeat to Fulham in the Football League Trophy.

Nnamdi OFOBORH (loan in) Defender Loan from Bournemouth
A busy day of transfer dealings at Adams Park was concluded at around 6pm on transfer deadline day (Monday 2nd September 2019), with the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh on a season-long loan from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth. The player started his football career with the U18 and U21 teams at Tottenham Hotspur and Millwall before signing a pro deal with Bournemouth in 2017 at the age of 17. He impressed enough during his first season for The Cherries U21 side to be offered a deal until 2021. In March 2018 he was also called up by the Nigerian U20’s side – this despite reports linking him to possible selection for the England U19 side. He signed for Wanderers having yet to make his senior debut in English football and was allocated No.28 in the squad for 2019/20.

Adam EL-ABD Defender Signed for Stevenage
The shock news that defender Adam El-Abd had left the Club was confirmed by the Club at around 5pm on Monday 2nd September 2019. A statement from the Club said: "Adam El-Abd has left the club by mutual consent to explore opportunities elsewhere." A week away from his 35th birthday at the time of the news, El-Abd joined Wanderers on a free from Shrewsbury Town in July 2017 and captained the side to promotion from League Two in May 2018. A regular in the side throughout his two year spell at Adams Park, he made 82 appearances, scoring 4 times. It was announced he had signed for League Two Stevenage on 6th September 2019.

Craig MACKAIL-SMITH (loan out) Forward Loaned to Stevenage
The Club announced on Monday 2nd September 2019 that striker Craig Mackail-Smith had been loaned out to League Two side Stevenage until 12th January 2020. The player was 35-years-old at the time of the deal and with a contract with Wanderers running until June 2020. He spent time on loan at Notts County during the second-half of the 2018/19 campaign - scoring 3 goals in 16 appearances as County dropped out of the Football League. His most recent game for Wanderers at the time of the loan to Stevenage was the New Years day 2019 2-0 home defeat to Coventry City - having previously scored 13 goals in 83 appearances since signing on a free from Luton Town in August 2017.
On 17th January 2020 it was announced the loan deal with Stevenage had been extended until the end of the 2019/20 season.

Rolando AARONS (loan in) Forward Loan from Newcastle United
The Club announced shortly after 1pm on transfer deadline day (Monday 2nd September 2019), the singing of 23-year-old Newcastle United forward Rolando Aarons on a loan deal until 13th January 2020. The former Bristol City youngster signed a pro deal with The Magpies in April 2014 and after impressing pre-season 2014/15 he he made his Premier League debut in the opening game of the season – coming on as substitute in the 2-0 home defeat to Manchester City. He scored his first senior goal on 30 August 2014 in a 3-3 draw against Crystal Palace – playing alongside former Mike Williamson and setting-up a goal for his teammate. At the time of his loan move to Adams Park he had totalled 27 First Team apps for Newcastle, while also taking in loan spells at Hellas Verona (Italy Serie A), Slovan Liberac (Czech Republic top division)) and most recently with Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship. He was allocated No.26 in the Wanderers squad for 2019/20.

Darius CHARLES Defender Re-signed
The Club announced at around 1.30pm on Thursday 15th August 2019 the re-signing of defender Darius Charles on a short-term deal that will run initially to January 2020. The return of the 31 year-old followed his recovery from a hip injury that threatend to end his career and restricted him to just seven appearances for Wanderers having signed on a free from Wimbledon in June 2018. He was allocated No.21 in the Wanderers squad.

Josh PARKER Forward Free from Charlton A
Wanderers announced an 9th close-season at around 5pm on Thursday 1st August 2019 with the news that striker Josh Parker had signed a two-year deal. The 28-year-old is a former schoolboy player for Wanderers but started his professional career in the Youth set-up at Queens Park Rangers. He played one game on loan for Wanderers during the 2010/11 season while at QPR – coming on as substitute in the 3-1 home defeat to Torquay United in November 2010.
Having made just five League appearances for QPR, his career took him to spells with Oldham Athletic and Oxford United before he played overseas for Domzale in Slovian and then Red Star Belgrade in Serbia. He returned to the UK on a permanent basis to spend three seasons with Gillingham. During League One season 2017/18 he scored 12 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions. He also scored against Wanderers in the League meeting at Priestfield in the December 2018 2-2 draw.
In January 2019 he joined Charlton Athletic on transfer deadline day on a six-month contract – making 10 appearances before the end of the season but failing to find the net. He played three times for Wanderers during the pre-season games – scoring in the home friendly against Brentford on Saturday 20th July 2019.

David WHEELER Midfielder Free from Q.P.R.
Wanderers' eighth signing of the summer of 2019 was announced at around 1pm on Tuesday 30th July 2019 when David Wheeler arrived on a three-year deal following a free transfer from Queen Park Rangers. The 28-year-old is best known for a successful four season spell at Exeter City between 2013 and 2017 where he netted 38 goals in 171 appearances in all competitions. Included in that time were two goals in victories over Wycombe (October 2014 and January 2017). He was voted Player of the Season at Exeter for the 201/17 season. He moved to QPR in August 2017 on a three-year deal for an ‘undisclosed’ fee but despite scoring on his full debut in September 2017, was unable to hold down a regular First Team spot at Loftus Road and was loaned to both Portsmouth and MK Dons during the 2018/19 season – the latter spell re-uniting him with his former boss at Exeter City, Paul Tisdale. He scored 4 times for MK Dons as they won promotion to ‘League One’. He was allocated No. 7 in the Wanderers squad.

Fred ONYEDINMA Forward Undiscl. from Millwall
The Club confirmed on Tuesday 30th July 2019 that Millwall striker Fred Onyedinma had joined Wanderers on a three-year deal from Millwall. The 22-year-old had previously spent two loans at Adams Park - netting 12 goals in 51 appearances during spells in the 2014/15 and 2018/19 seasons. He was allocated No.23 in the Wycombe squad.

After heavy speculation throughout July 2019, it was confirmed by the Club on 30th July 2019 that 23-year-old defender Jason McCarthy had joined 'Championship' side Millwall for an 'undisclosed' fee. The news came at the same time that Fred Onyedinma made the move in the opposite direction on a three-year deal to Wanderers. McCarthy's move came with two years of his contract at Adams Park still remaining and having made 88 appearances and score 4 times during his two spells with Wanderers. he joined Millwall on what was described by their official website as a 'long-term contract.

Jamie MASCOLL Defender Free from Charlton A
The Club announced at around 6pm on Tuesday 23rd July 2019 the signing of 22-year-old left side defender Jamie Mascoll on a one-year deal following his release from Charlton Athletic. The London born player originally started his senior football with Isthmian League side Dulwich Hamlet. He later had loan spells with Cray Wanderers and Gray Athletic before a move to Charlton Athletic in August 2017 on a one-year deal following a trial period at The Valley. While playing for Charlton's U23 side he made 6 First Team appearances in League Cup and Football League Trophy matches. He was allocated the No.15 in the Wanderers squad.

Giles PHILLIPS (loan in) Defender Loan from Q.P.R.
A third signing in a day announced by Wanderers on 22nd July 2019 at around 5pm with the news that 22-year-old central defender Giles Phillips had agreed a season long loan deal from Queens Park Rangers. The Chicago born player was signed by QPR in the summer of 2017. He had played for Wycombe in the pre-season friendlies against Woking and Brentford - scoring in the former with a header. He was a regular for QPR U23 side during his first season at Loftus Road and subsequently signed a deal until June 2020. He was allocated No. 16 in the Wanderers squad.

Jacob GARDINER-SMITH Midfielder Free from Middlesbrough
15 minutes after the announcement of the signing of Jack Grimmer, the Club confirmed the signing of 22-year-old midfielder Jacob Gardiner-Smith on a one year deal. He had been on trial with Wanderers pre-season and netted the equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Barnet. He had previously played football in Russia for two years with Zenit St Petersburg but returned to the UK during the 2018/19 season to play very briefly for St.Albans and then Hendon. He was recommended to Gareth Ainsworth by former Wanderer Luke O'Nien. He was allocated No.24 in the Wanderers squad.

Jack GRIMMER Defender Free from Coventry City
The Club announced at around 4.30pm on Monday 22nd July 2019 the signing of 25-year-old defender Jack Grimmer on a two-year deal following his release from Coventry City at the end of the 2018/19 season. The Scottish born player was originally on the books at Aberdeen - debuting at a then Club record youngest age of 16. Moved to Fulham in January 2012 and spent time on loan at Port Vale and Shrewsbury Town before signing for Coventry City in July 2017. Named in the League Two PFA Team of the Year for the 2017–18 season as Coventry won promotion via the play-offs. He had featured in Wanderers' pre-season friendlies against Woking and Brentford. He was allocated the No.19 in the Wanderers squad.

Paul SMYTH (loan in) Forward Loan from Q.P.R.
Wanderers announced on 19th July 2019 the signing of 21-year-old Queens Park Rangers forward, Paul Smyth, on a season long loan. The Belfast born player joined QPR from Linfield in July 2017 and went on to make his First Team debut on 1st January 2018 - scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 success over Cardiff City at Loftus Road. Went on to make 13 more appearances for QPR before the end of the 2017/18 campaign, adding a further goal and winning the Supporters Young Player of Season award. Was given limited chances in 2018/19 under Steve McClaren and was loaned to 'League One' Accrington Stanley in January 2019 - making 16 appearances and scoring three times (including one against Wycombe in Stanley's 3-1 victory at Adams Park in March 2019). He was allocated No. 17 in the Wanderers squad.

Alex PATTISON Midfielder Free from Middlesbrough
21-year-old former Middlesbrough youth product Alex Pattison was announced as Wanderers' first signing of the 2019/20 campaign on 9th July 2019. The midfielder was released by the Championship club at the end of the 2018/19 season having initially signed schoolboy forms at the age of 9. He progressed to play in Boro's U18 and U23 teams but First Team opportunities were limited to two apps in the Football League Trophy during the 2016/17 season. Spent time on loan at York City in the National League North, followed by a season on loan at League Two Yeovil Town in 2018/19 (making 34 appearances in all competitions). He signed a one-year deal with Wanderers and was allocated No.8 in the Wanderers squad.
