SENDA SIGNS AGAIN
(Friday 30th November 2001) Danny Senda has signed a one year extension to his existing contract - tying him to Wycombe until the end of the 2003/4 season. Lawrie Sanchez says he rewarded the former Southampton trainee after he impressed in the right back role. Sanchez commented "He's done ever so well... But he's not the finished product and he's got to carry on working hard"

PHOENIX DISMISSED
(Thursday 29th November 2001) Wycombe were represented at the meeting of Football League Chairman in Nottingham where proposals for a breakaway league (codenamed Phoenix) were dismissed. However, the six rebel clubs behind the breakaway (Bradford, Coventry, Sheffield Wed, Wolves, Manchester City and Birmingham) would not commit to not discussing the idea again. |

RAMBO SET TO BE FINED
(Thursday 29th November 2001) Andy Rammell is set to be fined for his red card at Oldham. Rammell was the fifth Wanderers player to be sent-off this season and Lawrie Sanchez is said to considering a new internal discipline process that would see his players hit in the pocket if proved guilty of inapproriate behaviour on the pitch. |
| DUCKS DEFEATED IN B&B
(Tuesday 27th November 2001)
A Wanderers XI came back from 2-0 down to defeat Aylesbury United 3-2 in the Berks and Bucks Senior Cup at Buckingham Road. Wycombe's goalscorers were Paul Emblen, Darren Currie and Ian Simpemba.

IT'S COUNTY IN THE FA CUP
(Tuesday 27th November 2001) Wycombe will play Notts County in the Second Round of the FA Cup on Saturday 8th December after The Magpies overcame Cambridge United 2-0 in the First Round replay at Meadow Lane.

YOUTH TEAM CUP GLORY
(Monday 26th November 2001) Wanderers Youth Team secured a place in the 4th Round of the FA Youth Cup with an impressive 3-1 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. After a goalless first half, strikes from Jonny Dixon and Lewis Cook (2) put Wanderers in the driving seat. The Blades pulled a goal back but Wycombe were worthy winners. The draw is on Thursday 6th December.

MO AND DOH GO
(Monday 26th November 2001) Former Wanderer Mo Harkin is on the move again after failing to agree terms with Aldershot Town. Harkin played two games on trial for The Shots. Earlier in the month Wanderers' FA Cup hero Roy Essandoh turned down an extended trial at Barnet. |

RAMBO OUT OF CUP CLASH
(Sunday 25th November 2001) Andy Rammell's red card at Oldham means that he's out of of Wycombe's 2nd Round FA Cup clash with Notts County or Cambridge Utd on Saturday 8th December and will also miss any replay. If there is no replay he will also miss the League games at Stoke (15th Dec) and home to Cambridge (22nd Dec). |

(Saturday 24th November 2001) Wanderers' unbeaten run came to a crashing end at Oldham on Saturday 24th November. After a bright opening, Wanderers conceeded two goals before the break and then had Andy Rammell sent-off in the second-half for violent conduct.

YOUTH TEAM UPDATE
(Saturday 24th November 2001) Wanderers' Under 17's went down 5-2 at Colchester United on Saturday 24th November in the Football League Youth Alliance. Wanderers were trailing 3-0 at the break but the performance improved in the second-half as they scored goals through Leon Gordon and Alex Charalambous.

| INJURY UPDATE
(Friday 23rd November 2001) Sean Devine will see a specialist on 5th December and is hoping to be given the all clear to resume full training. Devine has been running and has started ball work and it's said that the Club are confident he will pass the test. Meanwhile, results are still awaited from tests on Jermaine McSporran's ankle injury. | |

(Friday 23rd November 2001) Lawrie Sanchez says he is keeping tabs on Hayes attacking midfielder Kevin Warner. The 22 year old impressed the Wycombe boss in the recent FA Cup clash. PFA STRIKE CALLED OFF
(Friday 23rd November 2001) The proposed strike by the PFA on the weekend of Saturday 1st December has been called off following talks between League and PFA officials. Thew news was eventually confirmed late on Friday afternoon. The strike had threatened to disrupt Wycombe's home game with Brentford. |

YOUTH TEAM UPDATE
(Thursday 22nd November 2001) The Under 19's drew 1-1 with Gillingham at Molins on Thursday 22nd November in a rearranged Youth Alliance Fixture. Stuart Hole scored Wanderers goal in the 17th minute but the Gills equalised in the second-half. Wycombe go 4th in the table.

(Wednesday 21st November 2001) Goals from Stewart Castledine and Richard Walker earned Wanderers' Reserves a 2-2 draw with Norwich City on Wednesday 21s November at Adams Park in the Avon Insurance Combination.

PHELAN GOES ON LOAN
(Wednesday 21st November 2001) Leeyon Phelan is to go on a month's loan to Middlesex side Ashford. The 19 year old has been top scorer for the Wanderers Youth Team and Reserves and made his First Team debut last season. The loan period will start on Saturday 24th November.

WYCOMBE 2 COBBLERS 1
(Tuesday 20th November 2001) An Andy Rammell goal five minutes from time was enough to see off Northampton Town at Adams Park. RAMBO CONTRACT EXTENDED
(Monday 19th November 2001) Andy Rammell has had his contract with Wycombe extended until the end of the 2002/3 season according to the Official website. 'Rambo' joined from Walsall last September on what was reported at the time as a three year deal. The 34 year old has gone on to become Wanderers leading goalscorer despite a lenghthy spell out with a hamstring injury. |

FA CUP 2nd ROUND

(Saturday 17th November 2001) The Under 19's suffered a 6-2 defeat at Portsmouth on Saturday (17th Nov). A side made up of under 18's trailed 5-0 at the break with Jonny Dixon scoring twice for Wycombe in the second-half. Meanwhile the Under 17's drew 1-1 at home to Northampton Town; Leon Gordon got Wanderers equalising goal.

(Friday 16th November 2001) Wycombe began their 2001/2002 FA Cup campaign at Hayes on Friday evening firmly under the spotlight. The media were clambering for a possible upset and they nearly saw one but for the class of Darren Currie and Stuart Roberts.

| RESERVES DEFEATED
(Wednesday 14th November 2001) Wanderers' Reserves lost 2-1 at Southend United on Wednesday (14th Nov) in the Avon Insurance Combination. The home side scored their goals on 14 and 16 minutes before Ian Simpemba pulled one back on 20 minutes.

| WE WANT TO WIN
(Wednesday 14th November 2001) Lawrie Sanchez has insisted that Wycombe will be taking the FA Cup very seriously again this season. The Wycombe boss responded to comments earlier in the season by Steve Brown that Wycombe players may choose to 'opt out of the cup'. Sanchez said "I want to win every game we play"

MORE CUP CASH
(Wednesday 14th November 2001) Wanderers will pick up a further £5,000 from media rights for the FA Cup game with Hayes. The fee (payable to both sides) is thanks to full second-half commentary from BBC Radio 5 Live. Both sides will already get £100,000 as a result of the live TV coverage on SKY. There will be no broadcast on local radio. |
| CLUB GO FOR CHIEF EXEC
(Tuesday 13th November 2001) The Club have announced that they intend to appoint a Chief Executive. A formal seach has begun and an appointment is expected in the early part of 2001. Club Chairman Ivor Beeks said "Wycombe Wanderers has an exciting future and is serious about achieving success. The intention to appoint a Chief Executive is an investment that demonstrates this commitment."

| CHANGE INEVITABLE
(Monday 12th November 2001) Football Club Chairman Ivor Beeks has said change to the constitution of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club Limited is "inevitable". In an interview for The Wanderer magazine, Beeks said "We cannot sustain higher division football without a cash influx. In order to achieve that I'm absolutely convinced that we shall have to become a limited company with shares".

(Saturday 10th November 2001) Wanderers jumped up to 5th place in the Div. Two table with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Peterborough United at Adams Park on Saturday. Gavin Holligan scored either side of a Paul McCarthy header to seal the points. The start of the second-half was delayed for 45 minutes due to a floodlight failure.

YOUTH TEAM UPDATE
(Saturday 10th November 2001) Monday 26th November has been confirmed as the date that Wanderers' Youth Team will travel to Sheffield United in the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup. Meanwhile the Under 19's scheduled home game with Gillingham on Saturday 10th November had to be postponed after they got stuck in traffic.

Preparation is now taking place before installation of Wycombe's now infamous new scoreboard. Contractors were on site this week fitting the new facia to the Hillbottom Road end stand and we have an exclusive picture of a mechanical type thing in action at Adams Park. (Wednesday 7th November 2001) Wanderers' Reserves drew 1-1 with Colchester United on Wednesday (7th November) at Adams Park in the Avon Insurance Combination. WALKER LOAN UPDATE
(Wednesday 7th November 2001) Having extended Richard Walker's loan for a third and final month the Club have agreed with Aston Villa that he will be eligible to play in the FA Cup should Wycombe avoid defeat to Hayes. Walker will be available for selection from the game at Oldham (24th November) and all games up to an including Friday 14th December. |

YOUTHS THRO IN CUP
(Tuesday 6th November 2001) Wanderers' Youth Team beat Cirencester Town 3-0 on Tuesday evening in the Second Round of the FA Youth Cup. Ryan Parsons, Luke Oliver and Lewis Cook got the Wycombe goals in front of a crowd of 305 at Adams Park. Wanderers now travel to Sheffield United in the Third Round.

| DUCKS DATE IN B&B A date of Tuesday 27th November has now beem confirmed for Wycombe's game at Aylesbury United in the Berks and Bucks Senior Cup. | EMBLEN - NEW CONTRACT
(Monday 5th November 2001) Lawrie Sanchez has agreed to extend Paul Emblen's contract until the end of the 2001/2002 season. Emblen's current contract expired at the end of October 2001 and the new deal was agreed following his return to fitness after a 19 month spell out due to two leg injuries.

U17's BEAT POMPEY
(Saturday 3rd November 2001) Wanderers' Under 19 Youth Team were without a game on Saturday but the Under 17 side enjoyed a 4-1 victory at Portsmouth in a sometimes fiery encounter. Two Pompey players were booked with another sent-off and there was an altercation between the respective benches at the final whistle.

| TRANMERE 1 WYCOMBE 1 (Saturday 3rd November 2001) Wycombe extended their unbeaten run in the league to nine games with a 1-1 draw at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday (3rd November) but had Steve Brown sent-off for violent conduct in the 73rd minute. Darren Currie scored Wycombe's goal.

| MO IS A SHOT
(Friday 2nd November 2001) Former Wycombe midfielder Mo Harkin has joined Ryman League side Aldershot Town on a month's trial. Shots boss George Borg said " I have been looking for a quality left winger and Mo meets the ingredients". Harkin has already had unsuccesful trials at Carlisle United, Gillingham and Colchester United before his drop down to non-League level.

ENGLAND AT ADAMS PARK
(Friday 2nd November 2001) Adams Park hosted the England v Wales Under 16 Victory Shield match on Friday evening (2nd November). A crowd of 3,506 saw England triumph by 3 goals to 1 in an entertaining game. Sean Cartwright, Ryan Jarvis and Stuart Giddings got the England goals with Robert Davies replying for Wales. |
