It was a game where The Canaries enjoyed all the early play. Adrian Coote gave the visitors the lead in the 8th minute when he slotted home a low shot from the left that went under Mark Osborn in the Wycombe goal. However, Wycombe battled back with Dave Carroll going close with a curling free-kick on 15 minutes and Martyn Lee following up shortly afterwards only to see a long range effort gathered by Paul Crichton in the Norwich goal. Wycombe equalised on 23 minutes when the ball broke loose just outside the Norwich penalty area and Castledine converted with an effort that screamed into the top right corner of the net. Norwich regained the lead in the 31st minute when Andy Oxby headed in with ease at the far post after a delivery from the Norwich left flank. Mark Osborn then had to be alert to prevent Roger Johnson from scoring an 'OG' following a misjudged clearance. Leeyon Phelan, who is due to begin a loan spell at Ashford from Saturday 24th November, replaced Gavin Holligan at the break as the game continued with few chances for either side. Walker, obviously out to try and impress the watching Lawrie Sanchez, couldn't quite find room to turn and shoot in the 60th minute but three minutes later he was in the right place to head home from close range following Martyn Lee's corner from the right. The nearest there came to a winner fell in the 82nd minute when Osborn used his legs to clear Alex Notman's close range effort. However, a draw was a fair reflection on play and Michael Forsyth will be satisfied to have held a side who were in fifth place in the Combination prior to this game. Final Score Wycombe 2 Norwich 2
