What we think: The legendary figure of Barry Silkman made just eight appearances in a Wycombe shirt back in the highly successful 1986/87 season. Playing on a non-contract basis, Silkman first appeared for The Wanderers in a midweek game at Harrow. Wycombe lost that game, one of just five League defeats that season, however, Silkman will best be remembered by Wycombe fans for a couple of exhibition style performances at Loakes Park. The pick was the a 4-0 demolition of Tooting where although Silkman didn't score he set up a goal from a corner that was simply taking the pi** - flicking the ball across from the top side of the Hospital End of Loakes Park for a simple tap in. Then after a brief celebration he was substituted because he had to leave early for a greyhound meeting! As for his choice clothing, anyone who saw his bright blue suit that day will confirm that it's extreme. Barry is now working as a players agent and also appeared pre-season 2000/2001 for Harrow Borough. One of his players includes Wycombe midfielder Matt Brady
