Background: The striker began his pro career with Barnet in 1999, aged 18, having been spotted playing for Wingate & Finchley in the Isthmian League. Clocked up over 200 appearances for The Bees, scoring 45 times, and was a member of their squad who were relegated and then promoted back to the Football League in 2001 and 2005 respetively. Went on to play for Crawley Town and Dagenham & Redbridge in the Conference, helping the latter to promotion to the Football League at the end of the 2006/07 season.
Bagged 40 goals for The Daggers in a two and a half year spell before switching to Brentford at the end of the 2008/2009 season along with team-mate Danny Foster. Strevens was signed by Gary Waddock for Wycombe on a two year deal in the summer of 2010 with Foster also making the move to Adams Park too.
