Background: A former trainee at Southampton who eventually got his break in pro football after moving to Barnet. A near five year spell at Underhill ended with a £150,000 move to Oxford United where he spent just over a year before moving to Colchester United. Clocked up close to 150 appearances while at Layer Road but fell out of favour following their promotion to 'The Championship'. Moved to Wycombe in the summer of 2006 having spent the tail end of the previous season on loan to Blackpool and then following his release from Colchester United, part of the following pre-season on trial at Luton Town. On signing Stockley, Wanderers Manager Paul Lambert commented to the press, "His enthusiasm has been great, he looks fit and he's raring to go. We have to defend strongly and he will be aggressive and do his best for us. He's got a good pedigree and I'm hoping he can come in and do well."
