Background: Joined the Wanderers Youth set-up during the 2001/2002 season as a 17 year old and while still studying for his 'A' levels. Originally spotted by the Wanderers scouts while playing for Brook House and because he was still taking exams he was signed on a non-contract basis. The 6'7" player was part of the Wanderers 2001/2002 Under 18 team that enjoyed a memorable FA Youth Cup run that ended in the 5th Round at Barnsley.
Injury restricted his appearances during the early part of the 2002/3 season but he progressed to make his reserve team debut and was rewarded later that season with a professional contract by Lawrie Sanchez. Went on to make his Football League debut when he came on as substitute against Cheltenham Town in April 2003 but failed to make any real impact on First Team matters the following season and the arrival of Tony Adams saw him told that he was not to feature in the new Manager's plans and he joined Conference side Woking in February 2004 on a free transfer.
A fairly successful spell at Woking brought him to the attention of Football League scouts and he moved to Yeovil Town in the summer of 2005 but he struggled to make First Team football and was loaned back to Woking before signing for Stevenage Borough in January 2006. It was during his three year spell with the Conference side that he would impress then Borough Manager Peter Taylor to go back and bring him back to Adams Park during the January 2009 transfer window.
