Background:
Defender/midfielder, signed by Gary Waddock at Wycombe on a two year deal in July 2012 after being released by Brentford. Originally played non-League football for Cray Wanderers and Bromley where he eventually attracted the attention of several Football League clubs, including Charlton Athletic, Gillingham and Wolves before signing for then League Two side Brentford in May 2008.

Made his debut for Brentford on 8th August 2008 in the 1-0 defeat at Bury but suffered an injury and was kept out for a few weeks. However, returned to the side, playing mainly on the left wind, scoring his first goal in the 2-0 victory at Exeter City on 28 December 2008 and then helping The Bees to the 2008/9 League Two title (ahead of second placed Exeter and third placed Wycombe) and picking up the Supporters' Player of the Season award.

Remained a regular in the Brentford side the following two seasons although, was now switched to playing on the right wing or at left-back after Bees Manager Andy Scott favoured Myles Weston on the left wing. Fell out of favour with new Brentford boss Uwe Rösler at the start of the 2011/12 season and in November 2011 was loaned out to Rotherham United where he would spend the remainder of that campaign.

Was quickly a regular in the Wanderers side, playing mainly down the left side of midfield or defence. Scored his first goal for Wycombe on his debut in the game at York City on 18th August 2012 - a long range effort that helped Wanderers to a 3-1 victory. Went on to make his 100th appearance for Wycombe in the game at Morecambe on 11th October 2014 and again marked this milestone with a stunning goal from around 40 yards.

Continued to be a regular in the Wanderers side for the following three seasons before being released at the end of the 2016/17 campaign by Gareth Ainsworth having made just over 200 First Team appearances. Commenting on the decision to release the midfielder, Ainsworth said: "Woody’s been here for five years and seen it all in his time with us, from that day we survived relegation at Torquay, to the Wembley play-off final, and the cup adventures in the past couple of years. He runs his socks off every time he crosses the white line and is one of those players that fans love to watch."
