Background: Former Exeter City trainee who moved from his home town club to Glasgow Rangers for a £150,000 fee in November 1989. Struggled to make an impact at Ibrox and eventually moved to Burnley for £200,000 in the summer of 1994. Signed by Neil Smillie on a free at the start of the 1998/99 season to begin his time with Wycombe.
Typical of many new signings at Wycombe, 'Vinni' had a slow start at Adams Park but under Lawrie Sanchez he blossomed into a reliable left-back who can get down the flank. Not exactly a prolific goalscorer and took over 100 League apps before curling in his first Wycombe goal.
Was the most consistent player in 2001/2 and won the Official Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Association Player of the Season award as well as the Chairboys on the Net online award. A cracking goal against Brentford in December 2001 was one of the highlights of that season.
Eventually left the Wanderers at the end of the 2003/2004 season following a clear out by Tony Adams as a result of relegation from Division 2.
