Background: A youth player with Celtic but moved briefly to Stoke City without making a First Team appearance. A year with Stoke with no First Team breakthrough saw a return to Scotland to join Kilmarnock where he went on to make 181 First Team appearances before joining Norwich City in March 2001 for a £135,000 fee. Went on to be voted Player of the Season at Carrow Road in the 2001/2 season. Totalled 182 First Team apps for The Canaries before switching to Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2005. Spent two years with Forest before a free transfer to Wycombe in July 2007 during the reign of Paul Lambert as Wanderers Manager.
