WESTON JOINS EBBSFLEET
(Wednesday 28th June 2017)
The Club confirmed the departure of winger Myles Weston on Wednesday 28th June 2017. A statement from the Club read: "The Club have granted Myles Weston’s wish to leave the club due to family reasons, with the winger making a move closer to home with Ebbsfleet United." The 29 year old joined Wanderers in the summer of 2016 on a two year deal following his release from Southend United. After picking up an injury during the first game of the 2016/17 campaign, he returned to First Team action in October 2016 and went to make 26 appearances and scored three times. He joins the Conference side on a free transfer.
2017/18 FIXTURES OUT
(Wednesday 21st June 2017)
The Football League fixtures for the 2017/18 season were released at 9am on Wednesday (21st June) with Wanderers hosting newly promoted Lincoln City on the opening day, Saturday 5th August 2017. This will be followed on Tuesday 8th August with a home meeting with Fulham in the First Round of the League Cup. The first away League game will be on Saturday 12th August, when Wanderers travel to relegated Port Vale. The final game of the regular 2017/18 season is scheduled to be home to Stevenage on Saturday 5th May 2018.

PRE-SEASON UPDATE
(Wednesday 21st JUne 2017)
Wanderers have so far confirmed the following pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2017/18 campaign:
Saturday 8th July: Slough Town (away) - Kick-off 1.30pm Saturday 22nd July: Aldershot Town (away) - Kick-off 3pm Tuesday 25th July: Wimbledon (home) - Kick-off 7.45pm Friday 28th July: Maidenhead United (away) - Kick-off 7.45pm
It's understood that Brighton & Hove Albion, newly promoted to the Premier League and another former Club of ex-Wanderer Paul McCarthy, have also been approached with a view to play a testimonial game in honour of the centre-half who tragically died in February 2017 aged just 45.
FULHAM IN LEAGUE CUP
(Friday 16th June 2017)
Wanderers were drawn at home to Fulham in the First Round of the League Cup when the draw was made in Thailand at 1pm (UK time) on Friday (16th June 2017). The venue of the draw was chosen as this was the home of new sponsors, Carabao Energy Drink. Similar to previous season's, the draw was regionalised (north and south) and also seeded into two groups. Wanderers' meeting with Championship Fulham will the second meeting in this competition in as many years. In August 2015, Wycombe were unfortunate to go down 1-0 at home to The Cottagers. Wanderers also famously beat the London side 2-1 at Craven Cottage in September 2006 en-route to the Semi-Finals.
PIERRE OFFERRED DEAL
(Friday 9th June 2017)
The Club released a statement on Friday 9th June 2017 confirming that an improved contract offer had been made to defender Aaron Pierre. The 24 year old will be out of contract with Wanderers at the end of June 2017 and could leave without a fee being paid. Manager Gareth Ainsworth commented: "Following lengthy negotiations, we have tabled a new deal to Aaron and his representatives which is now left for them to consider again. There is an opportunity here for him to help us achieve something next year and we would love him to be a part of that." Pierre has clocked up close to 150 appearances for Wanderers since joining from Brentford in February 2014. He has gone on to attract interest from several higher ranked clubs, including Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City.
