Philo was a great player for the club even though he is so young. The news is tragic and i just hope now the boys will win every game in honour of the player. My thoughts are with the family. pete norfolk

Heart felt feelings to all close to Mark, You will not be forgotten by the fans. This is your season. FireSy

I am one that had been fortunate enough to meet Mark and to spend time with him discussing his career. Mark was a bright and positive individual with a very creditable attitude. In his very short life and footballing career, he became a cult figure and a fans hero at Wycombe Wanderers. This was a measure of his determination, his attitude and his talent and we will, unfortunately, never know how good he could have become as a player or how far he could have gone. Mark was a real credit to his parents, who will, I am sure and justly so, be proud of his achievements in his very short life. My sincere and heart felt sympathy goes out to Mark’s family, to his close friends and his mates at the club. He will be missed by us all but will not be forgotten. Mark, sleep peacefully. Ian Mather

I only saw him play a handful of times but it was clear that he had the talent in those quick feet to go a long way. My sympathy goes to his family and friends. Rest In Peace Mark. mr nice guy

I am so sad to hear about young mark philo had the chance to see him play a few times he was a great player and will be sadly missed Adam Perry

I dont really know Mark, but as I work at Wycombe wanderers I was lucky enough to have met and spoken to him while serving the players on a number of occassions. Mark came across as a polite, genuine and down to earth guy, he would always say 'hello','thanx' and start off a conversation with us waitresses, he always had an infectious smile on his face which sadley wont be seen anymore. My condolences go out to his team mates, and family and friends, and anyone who was lucky enough to ever come across this wonderful guy. I also praise John Gorman for having the strength to keep all his emotions in and the news from the players until the appropriate time came for the news to broken. RIP Mark Philo, you will always be remembered clokie

Taken too soon, Mark you will forever be in our thoughts. This season is for you. WWFC Forever Wycombe666

Such a shame that we will never get to see a talent like Mark's unfold. I know God will be looking after you, and you will definately make his Heaven Eleven. Condolences to Mark's family, friends and team mates at such a sad time. A shocked Wycombe fan. njc

Having 2 boys, one Mark's age, I can only think what is going on in his parents minds at the moment. Yesterday Mark never left my thoughts. Our thoughts as a family go to Mark's parents and family at this difficult time. Sally, Chris, Neil & Olly Stretton

Does anyone at the club know of Mark's favourite song? If you do could you possibly play it before every home game in a tribute to him? I am still in shock. Keep on playing the good stuff in the sky Mark! Show up Mr George Best, I know you can do it! gary hance

I have known Mark for many years and played football with him before he joined wycombe and the song that will always remind me of him is I WISH by R Kelly as he used to drive his dad mad by pressing the replay button on the way to training and over the years he used to text me lines from the song the most recent time was just before xmas Alex Leverton

He must be remembered and if ever there was a spur for our boys in the dressing room its win promotion for their fellow player but more importantly their friend. Dedicate it to him. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends and the next few weeks will truely be hard for all to do with WWFC.

He was in the year above me for about 12 years throughout a couple of different schools; always seemed a nice guy and a real professional in his attitude towards the game. Havent been back down to Crowthorne for a year or so due to uni, but its a real shame to hear about all of this. RIP. Ian

I have been reading all of the tributes and am struggling to find the right words. But here goes. A tragedy for Mark , his family and friends. Also for the other family involved. My thoughts and prayers go out to them all. An overwhelming sense of humility towards our small but ,in the current circumstances, massive club. From Steve Hayes to John Gorman, who have been awesome in the past few days. To all involved in the club, from the, players and supporters to all of the staff who have also shown amazing compassion. To the supporters of other clubs who have moved me to tears with their genuine concern for Mark and his family, but also for us the supporters. A sad but strangley strenghtening time. May God be with you, Mark woodlands
