MARK PHILO TRIBUTES
WANDERERS FANS

(First published 23rd January 2006)
Tributes left at Adams Park for Mark More written tributes left by Wycombe supporters in memory of Mark Philo who tragically died on 14th January 2006.

Mark Philo was a truely talented youngster, and it is such a shame that we never got to see more of that talent. If there was one thing that Tony Adams was good at it was spotting talent, and you know that his opinion on Mark can be taken as granted. If it wasn't for injuries then he may have been a central character in Wycombe's team over the past two seasons. However, far in advance of the shame of losing such a football talent is the tragic loss of a young human being. Mark was a good man, and my thoughts are with his family and friends at such a difficult time along with those of the woman who died in the accident. I lost a friend of mine who was the same age as Mark just a few weeks ago in another terrible accident, and know how devastating such a loss can have upon a family. My best wishes to all of Mark's family. God bless. Lateral Thinker

What a shock. Mark will always be remembered as a true blue and a great talent and a brilliant future. Our thoughts are with the family and friends. He will never be forgotten. RIP graham churchill

I have waited to write my feelings in the hope I might find the correct words to write. There is no words to sum out mine, and the rest of Wycombe's, feelings. You will be sorely missed - we never got to see our Key develop into the player you deserved to be. RIP Noeth

There are no words...except perhaps to say that my little friend michael may need someone else to share the quarter colours of wwfc with in the game of footy played in heaven. RIP Mark wanderingwasp

Sad and shocked when the news started to filter through. Just can not believe it. So unfair. God bless you Mark. Hearn family

RIP Dearest Mark, hope you look down upon us & share in our joys of Wycombe getting promoted this season. Some things in life do change but in our minds they stay the same. Barnsey

Hello everyone, it is Nathan Tyson's brother here. Mark and Nathan were cousins. This is very hard to write this, but I will miss you Mark to me you was a nice quiet (bit too quiet person). We will all be thinking of you and will miss you. leon tyson

Andy Reilly is a great friend of mine and i was often at wycombe reserves matches. My memory of Mark was his wonderful smile. Such a sad loss and my heart goes out to all of Marks family and friends. You will not be forgotten. I hope you are playing football in heaven. RIP MARK Tiger

Just beginning to come to terms at such a sad loss. A bright prospect has been snatched away from us. It just reminded me of when I lost my brother in a car accident 14 years ago, so I know what Mark's family are going through. The pain will eventually ease but you and a lot of people connected to Wycombe Wanderers will never forget smiling Mark. Also condolences to the family of the lady involved in this tragic accident as well. R.I.P. MARK. Never to be forgotten. From a very sad Chairboy Chippy Chairboy

Mark, you were a great guy and a fantastic player you will be sorely missed. Rest in peace... blind2

So desparately sorry to hear the news late on Saturday. I was only lucky enough to see him once or twice but the talent and promise was there for all to see. My thoughts are with his family and everyone at the club. God bless Mark rest in peace. The Old Git - Barcelona Chairboy

A huge talent who suffered so much bad luck cruelly taken away from us at such a young age. I send my condolences to all his family and friends. Philo's right foot

My deepest sympathies to Mark's family and friends. RIP Mark. You were a special talent. man@L&G

Always a shame to lose a life in such tragic circumstances. Even worse to lose two in the same accident. O

Am sitting at work with a lump in my throat reading some of the messages on here. It puts all the arguments about team rivalry, team selection, the constitution, wasps, transfers etc into perspective. Was so shocked to hear of the news whilst driving home from the game. Im sure the club & fans will come together for a fitting tribute to a much loved player who showed so much potential. It is of little comparison but over the last couple of days ive realised what a great club we all support. Lets all come together and support the team onto the most fitting tribute of all, promotion as champions. RIP MARK. bring back the fat swan

I was so gutted by the news about Mark Philo, may he rest in peace and bless his memory. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the news on COTN. I had been so thrilled that Torres had gotten his first goal and that Collins scored on his debut but that all vanished when I saw the terrible news. Like I said before, I could not believe my eyes and had read the story over and over... I hope the club make this season one to remember and go on to win the league in his memory.
