R.I.P Mark Philo - a sad day Jonny1231uk

I just don't know what to think or to say. Terrible news about a player I felt had a genuine chance of being very special for the club. Rest In Peace Mark Philo. Chapmanio

Shocked to hear this sad news. RIP Mark Banbury Blue

One of the most talented young players we have ever had, who was always cheerful despite injury adversity. Saw him on Wednesday playing for the reserves - hard to believe that was to be his last appearance in a Wycombe shirt. You will be sadly missed. Tribute too to John Gorman, who must have had the hardest day of his professional life, having to hide the news of the accident from the players, and also to give a difficult team talk at half time in order to turn things around. I'm sure we all join together in sending our loving support to Mark's family, and joining in the grief felt by the players. It's ironic that the next stage in the development of such an exciting young talent as Sergio Torres (his first goal for the club) would happen at the almost identical time as the premature ending of such a potentially wonderful talent, and genuinely nice guy. R.I.P. Mark. great prospect, great guy Lee Roy

All round nice guy, he met my sister at her school and she said he was nice, even though she hadnt heard of him. A great player that really should have been given a chance to shine in the first team, now lets win the league for him. Rest In Peace Mark. dom

Rest In Peace Mark. My Deepest sympathies go out to all those who knew and loved Mark xxx Emma

Mark was a cracking young talent, and more importantly a lovely young man. His wide smile will be sorely missed at Wycombe Wanderers. We really have lost a very important person from the football club. My thoughts are with Mark's family and friends, and also his team-mates and coaching staff who must have been devastated at the news after the match. It was our pleasure that you were able to wear the light and dark blue quarters of Wycombe Wanderers, and you will always be in our memories. Rest in Peace Mark. SandsMan

Only to repeat what so many have already said - a sad, sad loss and all my sympathy to his family and friends. I think we were all still yet to see the best of Mark who promised to be such an important part of Wycombe Wanderers. Mindless Drug Hoover

Mark in the Bootroom - April 2004 My heart goes out to his family and friends. My deepest sympathies to them. He was a such a nice lad and a great player with fantastic career ahead. I'm absolutely gutted, I've been thinking of him all evening. He will be greatly missed. I will never forget the day when I could meet him in person in the bootsroom. He showed me his boots with a sweet smile and I had my photo taken with him. The moment will always be with me. We love you, Mark, thanks for the pleasure we had watching you play.
