MARSH COMPLETES COBBLERS MOVE
(Thursday 6th September 2001) ![]() Speaking of the move, Chris Marsh told the Northampton media "It has been a strange experience for me, I spent 12 years at Walsall and enjoyed it. I went to Wycombe last March but they have changed their system and I have been a victim of that. Lawrie Sanchez has said he wanted me to stay and fight for a place but I know Kevin Wilson well and he is a big factor in my decision to come here." Town boss Kevin Wilson said "Marsh is a very good player and we need competition for places." Meanwhile, Lawrie Sanchez is not too concerned that Wycombe are £20,000 down on the deal. He told the Bucks Free Press "We are making a loss on him but Ted [Mark Rogers] has recovered from his injury and is playing well and is now my first choice right back." The Wycombe boss will now hope to put the money saved from Marsh's wages into his transfer fund to help bring in a new striker. ![]() ![]() Click here to read all the latest Wycombe news |
