Background: Joined Wycombe in February 2005 on a short term contract following his release from Gillingham. A former trainee at Watford, the locally educated player moved to The Gills in the summer of 2001 for a £100,000 fee and made close to 100 appearances in a three year spell. It was cruciate knee injury that prompted the Gills to release the player but it was when John Gorman was acting as the Kent club's caretaker Manager that the player made an impression on the soon to be boss at Wycombe. After a short trial period training at Wycombe it was Gorman who gave him a contract until the end of the 2004/5 campaign. Commenting on moving to Wycombe, Perpetuini said "It's not a problem playing in defense or midfield, I can do either quite comfortably and played in both positions at Watford and Gillingham. It's simply a case of where the gaffer will see me playing."
