Summary: Man City fan Clegg joined
Wycombe in the height of the injury crisis ahead of the FA Cup Quarter-Final tie
with Leicester City on Saturday 10th March. The 20 year old had been gaining
interest from onlookers while playing for the United Reserve side and made his
Football League debut less than 24 hours after arriving at Adams Park. He's also
played for Antwerp as part of United's 'blooding club' scheme with the Belguim
side but will be looking to put himself in the English shop window at Wycombe as his
current contract at Old Trafford runs out at the end of the 2000/2001 season.
Prior to joining Wycombe he had trained with Bradford City and also turned down
a move to Swindon Town in preference for The Chairboys. For the record he's
NOT related
to the two Clegg brothers at United, Michael and Steven.
