Wycombe Wanderers Ladies Football Team 2003-2004 Reserve Team match report Heelands v Wycombe Sunday 12th October 2003 The trip to Milton Keynes earned another valuable point for the reserves as the game against Heelands FC ended 0-0. A poor pitch and a debateable referee provided by the home club contributed to a game that might have been much better. Two clear cut penalties were not given and it seemed that there was no way Wycombe would be allowed to score, so the result came down to not conceding anything. Jade Harker and Amy Watters played particularly well and were unfortunate not to have more to show for their efforts. Coach Tracy Sturges played in goal for the first time this season and was able to see the game from a different perspective. Claire Burrage was named player of the match, but Freddie – Loretta S-D – must have run her close and deserves a mention for her performance.
