JOCKY RARING TO GO
(Friday 10th August 2001) Jermaine McSporran is raring to go for the new season after missing the last seven months through injury. 'Jocky' came through a tough 'friendly' at Aldershot just seven days before the start of the Football League season and is now looking forward to proving himself all over again. McSporran damaged cruciate ligaments during a league game at Wigan back in December 2000 and the game at Aldershot was his first time back playing with his team-mates. He told the Bucks Free Press "It's been a long seven months. Missing the cup run was the biggest disappoitment of my life. It was brilliant for the lads and the club and I was pleased for the lads but jealous I couldn't be part of it" The youngster now wants to lead Wycombe to success this season "I couldn't have got any lower but making the play-offs would go a long way to making up for that disappointment. I don't want to have to wait another four or five years for the club to have another bit of glory, I want it now and I can't wait to get started. We're good enough and capable enough as long as we stay injury free this season to make the play-offs." McSporran profile Click here to read all the latest Wycombe news |
