| JOCKY RARING TO GO
(Friday 10th August 2001)
Jermaine McSporran is raring to go for the new season after missing the last seven months through injury. 'Jocky' came through a tough 'friendly' at Aldershot just seven days before the start of the Football League season and is now looking forward to proving himself all over again.McSporran damaged cruciate ligaments during a league game at Wigan back in December 2000 and the game at Aldershot was his first time back playing with his team-mates. He told the Bucks Free Press "It's been a long seven months. Missing the cup run was the biggest disappoitment of my life. It was brilliant for the lads and the club and I was pleased for the lads but jealous I couldn't be part of it" The youngster now wants to lead Wycombe to success this season "I couldn't have got any lower but making the play-offs would go a long way to making up for that disappointment. I don't want to have to wait another four or five years for the club to have another bit of glory, I want it now and I can't wait to get started. We're good enough and capable enough as long as we stay injury free this season to make the play-offs." McSporran profile Click here to read all the latest Wycombe news |
