FA
Cup Sixth Round
Saturday 10th March 2001
Filbert Street - kick-off 3pm |
After
the victory at Selhurst Park, ticket demand for the sixth round tie has been huge from Wycombe
and Leicester fans and the tie is now SOLD-OUT.
This page aims show vital information regarding the matchday arrangements and
details of the BEAM-BACK at Adams Park.
Tickets availability - The Wycombe Board met on Friday afternoon
23rd February to decide on how to allocate the 3,200 tickets available for
Wycombe fans. As expected tickets were distributed on a
'one for one' basis for all Season Ticket Holders. Tickets went
on sale from 9am Monday 26th February and STH had until 5pm Thursday 1st March
to claim their ticket. Ticket prices are £20 adults/students and £10
seniors/juniors. League Line Members who are not Season Ticket Holders
were also entitled to
one ticket per membership.
The Club are keen to point out that Club Directors have not been allocated any
additional tickets from the 3,200 available for Wycombe supporters.
Season Ticket sales have been suspended leading up to the Leicester game as a cup ticket cannot be guaranteed for new purchasers.
There are currently approximately 2,750 Season Ticket Holders and 350
LeagueLine members.
The final few tickets were sold on Monday morning and the tie is now a
complete sell-out after Leicester also sold the last of their allocation by
Tuesday afternoon.
Filbert Street - Wycombe have never played at Filbert Street. The capacity is just over 21,500 and for cup ties the allocation for away fans is increased to 3,200 from the
normal 2,000.
Leicester - The City of Leicester is around 100 miles from High Wycombe
and is just off junction 21 of the M1. Train services to Leicester from the
south are served mainly from London St.Pancras.

'Large Screen' transmission of game at Adams Park -
A 23' x 17' screen will be positioned opposite the
Woodlands Stand and tickets are £5 per head (£2 for kids). Due to safety
reasons the capacity has been set at 4,500. Around 2,000 tickets have been
sold in advance and you can pay on the day. The Woodlands bar and hospitality areas will be open and
the Club are hoping to have a quantity of matchday programmes available for
souvenir hunters. A video of the replay with Wimbledon at Selhurst Park will be shown prior to the Leicester game starting at 12noon.
The pictures from Filbert Street will be accompanied by commentary from the
SkySports team at the game.
Radio and TV coverage: Unlike previous rounds of the Cup, there will be full matchday commentary on 1170am and
SkySports will be showing extended highlights of the match at 6pm on Saturday evening. Match of the Day will also be showing
highlights in their Saturday package and that will net The Wanderers another
£20,000 plus cheque for the TV rights.
Potential replay: After three replays so far, any potential fourth
replay for a place in the semi-finals would take place at Adams Park on
Tuesday 13th March - kick-off 7.45pm. Tickets would go on sale on Sunday (11th
March) from 9am until 5pm and again on Monday. Check back here for full
details in the event of a draw.
