Background:
The Club announced on 2nd October 2017 the signing of 31 year old former Chelsea goalkeeper on a deal running until 29th January 2018, with the Club also confirming he would be 'providing cover and competition for Scott Brown'.

The Belgium born player originally played at Youth level for Chelsea but failed to break into the First Team, instead making his senior debut during a loan spell at Watford during the 2005/6 season. During the 2006/7 season he appeared as an unused substitute for Chelsea in the Football League Semi-Final at Adams Park on 10th January 2007.

After leaving Chelsea in the summer of 2007 he played for Hibernian and then Swansea City before time in Belgium with KV Mechelen and Royal Antwerp. He returned to the UK in July 2015 to take up a coaching role with Muswell Hill Football Academy. He can also claim international honours with the Belgium Olympic 2008 side and then the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), the birthplace of his father.

Made his Wanderers debut in the Football League Trophy tie at Swindon Town on 31st October 2017. Also played in the FLT tie against West Ham United in November 2017 before his deal with Wanderers was extended to the end of the 2017/18 season.

Had to be content with a place on the bench for the remainder of the season but came on as substitute for Scott Brown in the home meeting with Stevenage on the final day of the campaign. With fellow 'keeper Brown departing at the end of the season, it was announced on signed on deal until the end of the 2018/19 season. Gareth Ainsworth commented: "We signed Yves to provide cover for Scott [Brown] last season and he was a safe pair of hands in training and in the games that he played, and although I’m looking to bring in another keeper this summer, I believe Yves can provide competition for the number 1 shirt and it’s great news that he wants to continue his career with us at Wycombe Wanderers."

Used very much as cover during his time with the Wanderers - making two minor cup appearances during 2017/18 plus a substitute appearance in the final League game of the season. During the following season he had a very brief spell in favour of first choice Ryan Allsop, making starts in the League games at Shrewsbury and Oxford in March 2019 (conceeding late goals in both games) before losing his place again. On 8th May 2019 the Club announced he would be released when his contract expired at the end of June 2019.
