Background:
New signing announced on transfer deadline day (31st August 2016). The 20 year old midfielder signed on a deal running until 31st December 2016 following his release from Leyton Orient. He left Brisbane Road having made 22 First Team appearances and scoring once since signing pro forms in the summer of 2014. He spent the end of the 2015/16 campaign on loan at Welling United where he failed to find the net in seven appearances. Allocated No.24 in the Wycombe squad.

Commenting at the time of signing, Wanderers Manager Gareth Ainsworth said: "Scott has been on our radar for a while and now is the ideal time to bring him in, with a number of midfield and attacking players out injured. He’s quick, skilful and gets into the right areas, and he’s also capable of playing in a number of different positions which will be important for us. We’re light on numbers which means Scott will get his opportunities to impress us and hopefully earn a longer deal here."

Having bagged nine goals in as many appearances, including a hat-trick in the 5-0 FA Cup win at Chesterfield on 3rd December 2016, the Club announced the midfielder turned striker had signed a deal with Wanderers running until June 2019.

Gareth Ainsworth, commenting on the new deal, said: "We gave Scott the opportunity to prove himself by giving him a deal until Christmas, and to say he has exceeded our expectations is an understatement. It was important for us not to miss out on the chance to extend his stay here as I’m sure there will be a lot of interest in him, and we have pushed really hard to get this deal done. Scott has applied himself superbly and grabbed his opportunity with both hands. The fans have seen what he’s all about – he’s a nightmare for defenders to deal with, he can score goals out of nothing and he’s a popular lad as well."

Injury problems throughout the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons restricted his appearances but having returned to First Team action towards the end of the 2018/19 campaign, was rewarded with a new three year deal running until June 2022. Commenting on the new deal, Manager Gareth Ainsworth said: “He’s still only 23 and I strongly believe he could go a long way in the game, so it’s a real coup for us to keep someone of his potential at Adams Park. He’s put his injury problems behind him and I’m confident we’ll help bring out the very best in him over the coming season and beyond.”
