2nd Year Scholars 2001/2002
Lewis Cook (Forward) - 2nd Year Scholar 2001-2002
Locally found player who joined The Wanderers set-up at the age of 14 having played for Wycombe District and County sides. A winger who as well as delivering a decent ball from either wing can also score goals too. Made his debut for the Wanderers Reserve Team during 2001/2.
Jonny Dixon (Forward) - 2nd Year Scholar 2001-2002
Born 16 January 1984 - Muria, Spain
Spotted by scout Derrick Jones playing in the Slough District School trials. CofE Player of the Season 1998/99 and went on to play for Wanderers' Youth Team as a schoolboy during the FA Youth Cup run of 1999/2000. Signed as a scholar the next season but an injury held him back. Returned during the 2001/2 season as a regular scorer again and has gained his first taste of Reserve Team football.
Pat Lynott (Midfield) - 2nd Year Scholar 2001-2002
Born 27 January 1984 - Hammersmith
A local lad who CofE Director Adrian Cole had known since his early playing days and was quick to snap him up following his release from Southampton. Out for long spells during 2000/1 due to injury but has come strong during 2001/2 to become a great prospect as a battling midfielder. Certainly not afraid to get stuck-in and played through the Norwich FA Youth Cup game with a nasty injury to his nose.
Ryan Parsons (Defender) - 2nd Year Scholar 2001-2002
Born 9 March 1984 - Ascot
Spotted by Wycombe scouts playing for Marlow and joined Wycombe on a scholarship during the early part of the 2000/1 season. Finished the season as 1st Year Scholar of the Season after impressing in the left-back position. Gained Reserve Team experience during 2001/2. His father Ian Parsons played for Leyton Orient, Charlton Athletic and Wimbledon.
Jack Smillie (Defender) - 2nd Year Scholar 2001-2002
Born 23 August 1984 - Brighton
Son of former Wanderers Youth Team and First Team Manager Neil. Joined Wycombe CofE aged 11 and first appeared for the Youth Team as a striker aged just 14. Has since gone on to show great promise in the right-back role and broke into the Reserve Team during 2001/2. His Grandfather Ron was also a professional footballer with Barnsley.
Kai Sudheimer (Midfield) - 2nd Year Scholar 2001-2002
Born 7 June 1984 - Darmstadt, Germany
Joined Wycombe on a scholarship during the early part of the 2000/1 season having impressed at an international football camp. Has played for Waldolf Mannheim, Victoria Griesheim and Kickers Offenbach in Germany. Has gained Reserve Team experience in 2001/2 but is thought to be returning to Germany in the summer due to limited opportunities at Wycombe.
