Billy Harding (Forward) - 1st Year Scholar 2001-2002 Born 20 January 1985 - Carshalton Came to Wycombe after being spotted playing for Fulham during the 2000/1 season. A tall forward who has scored for both the Under 17 and 19 sides during 2001/2. He's the son of former professional Paul Harding. |
Stuart Hole (Defender) - 1st Year Scholar 2001-2002 Born 21 April 1983 - Oxford Joined Wycombe CofE under 13 squad in 1997 having been spotted playing for his district side (Mid Oxon). Played for the newly formed Under 17's in season 2000/1 where he also played up front. Converted to defence in 2001/2 where he has Captained the FA Youth Cup side and also gained experience for The Reserves. Won the 1st Year Scholar of the Season Award for 2001/2. |
John-Paul Kelly (Midfield) - 1st Year Scholar 2001-2002 Born Scotland 'JP' returned to Wycombe at the tail end of the 2000/1 season after a spell in his native Scotland. Originally at the Wycombe CofE aged 11 but went to Scotland two years later where he played for Dunfermline and then Hearts. Choose The Wanderers over Hearts because he thought he's have more chance of beraking into First Team football. Has played for Scotland at Under 16 level. |
Mark Philo (Midfield) - 1st Year Scholar 2001-2002 Joined Wycombe aged 15 and impressed during the 2000/1 season playing for the Under 17's. Has played for Berkshire at County level and has also been on the books of both West Ham and Crystal Palace. A very skilful midfielder who can also strike the ball very well. Has gained experience with the Under 19's during 2001/2. |
Matty Warner (Midfield) - 1st Year Scholar 2001-2002 Born 12 May 1985 - Frimley Heath Ledt sided player who joined Wycombe aged 12 after scout Derrick Jones spotted him playing in a 5-a-side tournament in Farnham, Surrey. Progressed through the COE system and awarded a scholarship from the start of the 2001/2 season. A regular goalscorer who has already gained experience playing for Wanderers' Reserve side. |
Tom Gott (Goalkeeper) - 1st Year Scholar 2001-2002 Born 5 Sep 1984 - Harrow Been with Wycombe since he was 13 after turning up to a training session with a friend. Went on to win the CofE Player of the Season award for 1999/2000. Has played for the Under 19's during 2001/2 season after 3rd year 'keeper Steve Williams was loaned out to Beaconsfield SYCOB. At 6'2" is a commanding 'keeper for his age and has massive First Team potential. |
