WANDERERS UNDER 19's v PLYMOUTH UNDER 19's Football League Youth Alliance Saturday 12th April 2003 Wanderers Youth Team went down to another home defeat in the merit league of the Football League Youth Alliance, this time a 1-0 loss to Plymouth Argyle. However, on a sunny afternoon at Molins Sports Grounds, Wanderers will count themselves unlucky after having the majority of the possession and creating numerous chances in the second half. The winning goal came on 25 minutes when Argyle's No.11 delivered a corner from the right that saw their No.4 send a powerful downward header past Tom Gott in the Wanderers goal. Striker Lee Parrack got his chance in the second-half after making his Reserve debut during the week and his presence was always a threat. It was Nathaniel Griffiths who went closest to an equaliser just four minutes after the re-start when he saw his close range effort blocked in superb style by the visiting 'keeper. Wanderers went on to create more chances but couldn't find the target and it was Argyle who could have scored again towards the end as Wycombe pushed more bodies forward.
