On a difficult and uneven surface Wanderers got off to a flyer when a 4th minute cross from the right from James Rogers was headed home at the near post by Mark Boland. Wycombe remained on top for the majority of the half but had to rely on 'keeper Stephen Flower being quick off his line to avert the danger in the 24th minute when the home side broke down the right flank. Leon Gordon forced a good save from Gareth Kiss in the home goal on 38 minutes and then missed the follow up when it looked a certain goal. However, three minutes before the break Wanderers doubled their lead when Rogers' corner from the left ended with Matt Heggie following up a goal-line clearance to score from close range. Flowers tipped away a curling free-kick from Adam Louth on the stroke of half-time to ensure that Wanderers remained firmly in control at the interval. Wanderers' superior fitness told in the second-half and on 69 minutes Nathaniel Griffiths crossed from the right bye-line for Leon Gordon to tuck in at the near post. The reward for the victory is a home tie with Swindon Town, whose Youth Team are managed by former Wanderer Viv Busby. The tie is likely to be played on or around Wednesday 5th November at Adams Park. Final Score Chalfont St. Peter 0 Wycombe 3
