A NEW MISSION FOR SANCHEZ

The reason I became Manager of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club was not to avoid relegation. My goals for the Club are much higher, particularly as we have excellent facilities here at Adams Park, a solid set-up, a loyal supporter base and massive untapped potential.
My sights are set on the play-offs and promotion, I'm not interested in another relegation battle, one was enough for me. However to achieve our goals this Club needs to mobilise its support, raising sufficient funds along the victory trail to keep the bandwagon rolling. We need to build on the fantastic support the team received from all those fans who made the trip to Lincoln City. By the way, the Board of Directors deserve credit for agreeing to fund the free supporters coaches. For us to fulfil the potential of this Football Club it is important that the win at Lincoln is seen only as a starting point. The players won an important battle, but my intention is to win many more because we can only really say we have achieved our aims once we have won the war.
The players and I really appreciated the support during those crucial few weeks, especially those who endured the hospitality at Manchester City. The last home match against Wigan Athletic was the best performance over 90 minutes by the players since I became the Manager (the day before the Fulham home match in February). The atmosphere and support from the fans at Adams Park that night was terrific. The players responded enabling us to go to Lincoln believing we would do the business and together we did!
Looking forward, this Football Club has not even begun to realise how much it can achieve and it is my intention to provide the direction needed and inspire all the players and supporters so that together we can achieve far in excess of whatever you imagine. To reach our destination and fulfil our destiny we have to take the first step. We have a new mission for next season, if you are prepared to accept it, please buy a season ticket. Thanks again for your support, see you all next season.
