Terry Gibson's side made a bright start against The Gills with Matt Brady providing two early chances from down the left flank. In the 8th minute Brady's cross was glanced just wide by Leeyon Phelan and three minutes later a nifty flick from the left bye-line came back off The Gills cross-bar before being cleared. Niall Thompson was also denied by an amazing goal-line clearance by Kevin James after the Canadian had chipped a shot in from the right. The visitors only serious effort at goal in the first-half came after 23 minutes when Christian Lee fired just wide of Mark Westhead's goal. The game was one within two second-half minutes. On 55 minutes Marcus Browning's low shot from 20 yards beat the dive of Westhead while two minute later Richard Rose switched the ball in from the right for Mark Lovell to tuck home from 10 yards. Only a good save by Westhead from Darren Flaherty in the 79th minute prevented a larger winning margin for the Kent side. The Wanderers rallied briefly at the end with some Mo Harkin trickery eventually denied by Gills 'keeper Charlie Mitten. The Reserves have a busy schedule before the end of season, starting with a game on Wednesday 14th February at Fulham (1pm Motspur Park). Final Score Wycombe 0 Gillingham 2
