In front of a very sparse crowd at Purfleet, Wycombe struggled to string too many passes together. Danny Senda missed a good chance when he shot wide but it was Dartford who took the lead on 37 minutes when Lee Guiver touched in a cross from the left past Mark Westhead in the Wycombe goal. Wycombe dominated the second-half and drew level in the 55th minute when Martyn Lee struck in a free-kick from all of 35 yards that hit the Purfleet crossbar, rebounded into the Purfleet's keeper Steve Williams face and into the net. Wycombe could have taken the lead when Ian Simpemba headed over from close range on the hour mark while a few minutes later Senda just failed to convert a cross after a neat exchange between Lee and Rogers. It was Rogers who was involved as Wycombe were awarded a 77th minute penalty - the ex-Colchester player being tripped in the box. Rogers got up to place the ball to the 'keepers right and give Wycombe a 2-1 lead. Just as Wycombe had settled for a slim victory, a long ball to the edge of the Wycombe penalty area was not dealt with by the Wanderers defence and Stuart Nicholson fired the ball home from 18 yards, giving Mark Osborn no chance. Final Score Dartford 2 Wycombe 2
