Once again Wanderers fielded a relatively strong line-up and there was a return to action after injury for Jason Cousins. Harris played a roaming role up front with Gavin Holligan and Stuart Roberts on the left and right flanks respectively. Holligan saw two early efforts go close and Cousins also fired just wide in the 10th minute from around 20 yards. Wanderers took the lead on 26 minutes when Roberts powered through from the right side of midfield before pushing the ball left for Holligan who curled his shot into the far corner of the net past Ollie Gottaslaksson in The Bees goal. The visitors drew level on 36 minutes with the first of two penalties. The first one was for a blatant trip by Cousins on Jay Tabb and Mark McCammon slotted the ball past Mark Osborn. Brentford's second penalty award on 58 minutes was more harsh. A ball was played across from the left wing and when a shot was thundered in, it looked like Cousins or Emblen who was the unfortunate player to handle. Again McCammon put the resulting penalty confidently past Osborn to put the visitors 2-1 ahead. Wycombe equalised after substitute Jermaine McSporran cut in from the right wing in the 65th minute. Jocky's cross was blocked by a Brentford hand but as some Wycombe player's claimed for a penalty, the ball broke loose at the far post and Harris was there to tuck the ball in. Wycombe grabbed their deserved win with the goal of the day after 73 minutes. Martyn Lee's corner from the right was cleared to the edge of the box where Paul Emblen smashed the ball home through a crowd of players. New boy Harris probably did enough to earn at least a place on the bench in Saturday's game at Peterborough and his long throw speciality was used to good effect on at least a couple of occasions. With an Andy Rammell type character in the middle it could prove interesting. Final Score Wycombe 3 Brentford 2
