| EIRE CALL UP FOR SIMPEMBA (Sunday 28th October 2001) 
Wanderers' Youth Teamer Ian Simpemba has been selected for the Republic of Ireland Under 19 squad to play in an European Championship Mini Tournament in Cork during November. The Irish team will take on sides from Austria, Croatia and Latvia.18 year old Simpemba has already featured for the Rebublic of Ireland Under 18 side in July when they reached the final of the Nikita Tournament in Japan. The Dublin born defender/midfielder played in all four games for the Irish and kept Premiership based players on the bench. Japan, Korea and Australia were all beaten before they fell to Chile 3-2 in the final. Simpemba, who is in his final year of his youth scholarship, has yet to make his full First Team debut for Wycombe but is a regular in the reserve set-up where he has played alongside fellow Youth Teamer Roger Johnson in the centre of defence.
