Wycombe Chairman Ivor Beeks is delighted with the attention being poured on the Wanderers as result of the history making Cup run this season.

Speaking to Radio Five Live on the morning of the game at Filbert Street he said  "It's nice to know that we've got a lot more support out there than perhaps we though about."

The game at Selhurst Park was the catalyst for the media attention. "That's the beauty of the FA Cup, that now and again it throws up it these little pieces of magical history." added Beeks.

Wycombe's long serving Chairman is also aware of the good track of Wycombe Managers, past and present "I think it's something in the water down here. We seem to keep coming up with different names and they seem to applying their individuality"

But Beeks was keen to point out that it was no overnight success "It's been gradual development over the last ten or twelve years and he's (Sanchez) been part of that. We've had some excellent Managers and Lawrie fits into that particular mold and at some stage or other we shall lose him, I've no doubt of that, but in the meantime he's taken us to different heights that we've never been before"
