The capacity of this area was then increased back to just over 2,000 during the summer of 2001 when it was extended with a further eight rows of seats. The increase in capacity meant that other areas of the ground (The Valley End and The Old Main Stand) had their capacities reduced (by a total of 977) to ensure that the total capacity of the ground was maintained at 10,000 to meet a planning obligation associated with the agreement for the 2001 extension.
