After a fews days of speculation, orginating in the Scottish press, it was confirmed on Thursday 18th August 2022 that Wycombe had signed goalkeeper Max Stryjek on a minimum one-year deal from Scottish Premier League side Livingston. The 26-year-old Polish born player had spent two years with Livingston after signing from Eastleigh. He started his pro career in British football as a 17-year-old with Sunderland, where he gained senior experience on loan at Accrington Stanley and Boston United. He also has Poland U17, 18 and 19 caps to his name. The move to Adams Park came after widely reported efforts by Wanderers to sign Nathan Bishop on loan from Manchester United - those efforts seem to fall flat after the change of First Team Manager at Old Trafford. Stryjek (pronounced STREE-YEK), was allocated No.1 in the Wanderers squad for the 2022/23 season. Stryjek quickly became a fans favourite at Adams Park during his debut season - keeping 16 clean sheets across his 41 League appearances. On 21st April 2023, the Club confirmed his contract would run until at least June 2024. External links: Wikipedia Soccerbase
