The Club confirmed on 29th January 2021 the surprise signing of 27 year old Jordan Obita from League One side Oxford United on a deal until June 2023. The left-sided player joined The U's in November 2020 after release from Reading where he had spent 10 years as a pro. The move came in the week that Wanderers regular left-back Joe Jacobson had been ruled out through injury.

Commenting on the deal, Wycombe Manager Gareth Ainsworth said: Jordans got great experience at this level and is a player that weve always been impressed by, both at Reading and the clubs hes played for on loan. Hes quick, hes got a good delivery and he can do both sides of the game, both defensively and going forward, so hell be a really important addition to the squad for us. Joe Jacobson has made that left-back spot his own for seven years and rightly so because hes been an outstanding performer for us, but its an area where were light on cover and Jordan comes in to give us that extra option down the left side.

On 10th May 2023, the Club announced that negotiations were taking place to extend the player's contract at Adams Park beyond June 2023. However, on 22nd June 2023, following brief speculation in the Scottish press, it was confirmed that a then 29-year-old Obita had agreed a deal to join Scottish Premier League side, Hibernian, on a two-year deal. He left Wycombe having made 95 competitive appearances in a Wanderers shirt and netting on 5 occasions. The Club reported he had been, "offered a new deal by the Blues but has opted to a begin a new adventure north of the border."
