Loved Amateur Football so much that he chose to stay at Wycombe instead of joining Spurs. Finest Hours: Two goals in 1957 Amateur Cup Semi-Final at Highbury. Seven Amateur International Caps and a string of other representative honours including the Great Britain Olympic Football Team. Don't mention: Not signing professional for Spurs in 1959. Two broken legs during his career (April 1957 and January 1967) Life after Wycombe: Played for Chesham, Wealdstone, Slough and Hayes before retiring from the game in the mid-seventies. Lives near his birth place in Chalfont St.Peter and still visits Adams Park. |
